Efficient Range Hood
This is a nice range hood. Really like the lines on the hood and the push button controls. I didn't have a hood in my kitchen, and this resolved the excess aromas and volatilized grease from cooking. The blower has good suction power with 3 options. Utilized a 6" galvanized pipe to connect to a roof vent due to the distance being too far for the vent covers.

Great product!
Love my new hood! It’s just as described and not too difficult to install. It does have a plug and is not hot wired like our previous one.

Solid look and operaton
We did a complete remodel of the kitchen and really like how the hood looks and operates. It was adaptable enough to fit into our non-standard space. The only reason I docked a start is that it was a pain to remove the plastic protective coating. There may be a trick to it, but it wasn't known to this DIY guy!

Bang for buck
So far no issues. Gets the job done. Looks great for the price. Brings up value in the house

High end look without the hefty price tag!
The range hood is beautiful! It fit like a glove in my new kitchen above the range. Install was pretty easy. The vent is much more powerful than the previous vent I had. Looks great and for a great price.

Instruction manual written by children
I would not insult a five year old by saying the instructions were written by five year olds. This was a joke. Utterly ridiculous. I flip houses so, yeah, I would have been a repeat customer but that won't be happening. In a nutshell, the instructions were a macabre maze of confusion.1 - I understand conserving paper but seriously, the text was so small that, even with my glasses, I had to use a magnifying glass to see. No, really, I did. Should have used it for toilet paper for all it was worth.2 - Apparently multiple people were involved in writing the instructions because they referred to the same parts by different names, which caused abundant confusion, head scratching and yelling. It was only after much frustration that we pieced together the process. What a bunch of jack wagons.3 - The instructions were simply wrong. Things that the instructions said to do did not work or make sense or match the components of the hood. One set of instructions was written for multiple models and variations. Hello?!?! That does not always work. Take the time to write instructions for each model, please.4 - The manufacture of the hood was wrong. To be clear, it was obvious that the chimney portion of the hood was to be held in place by a Z bar type brace. However, the holes bored into the brace and into the side of the chimney for support prohibited the Z bar from engaging. We had to be creative and come up with other methods of installation.Overall, the vent looks good but is too new to judge the features and I'm too pissed to think about it. But one thing is certain: it was not worth the time and frustration we went through to get it installed. A thirty minute process turned into an over two hour fiasco. My suggestion to the manufacturer: After the kiddies wake up from nappy time and have had their juice boxes, have them rewrite the installation manual. As for me, I won't be using your products again. I want my two hours back.

Great value for the money but can use some improvement
The Cosmo 63175 30 in. Wall Mount Range Hood is a great product, and it looks sharp when properly assembled and mounted. The brushed stainless steel finish looks very smart, especially when mounted on backsplash tiles. The suction power is very impressive, the noise level reasonable at the highest setting, but definitely too noisy for the lowest setting. To mount it, I replaced an existing 24" cabinet with an over-the-range microwave oven. When I removed the oven, I replaced the cut tiles and extended the backsplash all the way to the ceiling. You need a flush surface to mount the hood, as the chimney fascia will not line up with the range unit unless you have all tiles to the ceiling or no tiles at all. They don't tell you that in the instructions.Be also mindful when handling the chimney fascia, as it has sharp edges and it is easy to nick or cut yourself with it.Two things that could easily improve the assembly experience is to provide longer screws with more serious anchors than the 1 1/4" provided. The provided ones can suffice if you drill directly into drywall, but if you also have to go through 5/16" of backsplash tiles, they just don't reach quite deep enough to provide a secure anchor point for the brackets. The other major annoyment is the blue protective film. You should definitely remove it before mounting the unit, but even then, there are spots that are an absolute pain to peel off, such as the light assembly and the grilles. To completely remove the film from those parts I had to unscrew the light assembly and remove the LED light fixtures from their sockets. For the grille, there is no chance to do a complete film removal because the parts are riveted together. So, you'll have to leave with some tiny blue film sticking out of your gorgeous brushed stainless steel range hood. Finally, the included flex duct is quite short, and rather than attaching it to other ductwork, you are better off tossing it and getting some 6" non-Insulated flexible mylar aluminum ducting from your local home improvement store instead. Then, use duct clamps rather than HVAC duct tape to secure it to the unit.

Amazon Warehouse Purchase
I purchased this range hood as a return from Amazon warehouse. Item was listed as "Like New" "Open Box."Item was not like new, item was damaged, with multiple dents and creases in the metal. Corners are beginning to "tear" do to the deformations. As for the "Open Box," The vent had been thrown into a HomeDepot box with no additional foam or padding for protection. It was not an "Open Box" item.I rated at 3 stars instead of 1 star because despite the damage, the vent is still fully functional, and arrived in what I would call "Acceptable Condition," definitely not "Like new" for an Amazon Warehouse Purchase. As for the item itself. Motor works very well. With each of the fan speeds providing adequate amounts of suction power. Lights are very bright, and will work well in my kitchen.
