Great quality at a good price
Works very well, excellent quality and a reasonable price

Well made, clear optics, bright dot, turrets work smoothly, holds zero with 5.56, but no high mount.
I'm a big fan of Vortex optics and most of my red dots come from them. So SHOTAC optics was a "shot in the dark" for me. What can I say? I'm not disappointed, quality wise they are not as high-end as Vortex but very decent. I'd say it's on par with Bushnell's optics. It's red dot, very well made, I really can't complain about its build quality, check out the pics. It's much better than the other $70 to $80 range red dots that you can find around and it's worth every penny in my opinion. The cheapest budget Vortex red dot will cost you at least twice as much (SHOTAC costs around $80 at the time of writing this review) and does not have any advantages really. Brightness knob works as it should, though it's a bit too stiff and hard to turn. The dot is very bright and visible on a sunny California day just fine at the highest setting. Windage and elevation turrets are small, you cannot make adjustments with your fingers, unfortunately, this requires a small screwdriver for it. Both turrets have crisp clicks and are easy to turn. There are no "leashes" or wires that attach the turret caps to the scope's body so when they are removed for adjustment, it's extremely easy to drop or misplace these caps. The brightness knob is stiff. What I didn't like is that both turrets are not protected from impact or drops. They protrude above the scope body and if you drop it they would certainly hit the ground and may be damaged. The scope looks and feels very sturdy and well built. Everything is sealed and watertight. The scope comes with two rubber lens covers connected by a band. I really don't like this type of lens covers, they are simply not convenient to use, flip up is much better. Also, I did not like that the red dot emitter is not completely hidden and obscures your field of view a bit. Unfortunately, it does not provide any ways to configure your setup as high-profile co-witness, you only get low-profile. As far as its operation on a range goes, everything works great, zeroing was super easy and it perfectly held zero for nearly 200 5.56 rounds, no complaints.*** TL;DR ***Yes, I recommend this red dot. Its build quality is on-par with the Bushnell optics, all controls are crisp and operate smoothly, LED emitter is bright, its water/fog/dust/shock proof, it perfectly held up against 5.56 caliber and its setup on a rifle was quick and easy. But a few drawbacks like no high-profile mount and unprotected from drops turrets, visible red dot emitter, and rubber lens caps weigh down on my rating of this product. Therefore, I'm gonna go with 4 stars this time.+++ Pros +++1) Great build quality.2) Bright red dot, easy to see.3) 11 brightness settings.4) All knobs and turrets are crisp.5) Windage/elevation turrets have caps.6) Everything is water/fog/dust proof.7) 800G shockproof.8) Holds up zero against 5.56 Cal no problem.9) Includes protective rubber caps.--- Cons ---1) Red emitter obscures your vision a bit.2) Turrets are not protected from drops.3) High-profile co-witness mount is not included.4) Brightness knob is too stiff.5) Turrets can not be turned with finders.

Decent red dot sight.
I got this sight hoping it was as stated "high precision " sight. It's a very light unit and all the turrets and illumination knob have excellent detents as I expected it to. My real gripe is the main point of getting a high precision red dot sight is a getting a high precision dot. I looked at this dot very closely and realized it's not as precise as I hoped it would be. The dot to me looks several very tiny dots almost vertical. Still overall it's very small red dot and may be fine for some people, but not me. In all reality it's not an expensive sight so I guess that's ok. Overall I'm a little disappointed and on the fence if I were to order another one down the road or not.

Durable Red Dot at Budget Friendly Pricing
I picked-up this red dot to replace a budget dot from another brand that failed on me, and I wanted something with as few bells and whistles as possible that had fewer potential failure points, and this fit the bill. I used it on both my rimfire rifle, as well as my centerfire, and it held zero without fail. I also tried in on my air rifle, as I know that it produces different forces that can damage a sight or scope, but this held up just fine. I recognize that budget red dots can have starburst patterns in the dot, but I was pleasantly surprised that the dot is crisp. I wish I could have rated it with half stars, but since I couldn’t, I am rounding this up to five stars, but really I’d call it a 4-1/2 star sight, because of my cons below:Pros:- Tough durable analog design with few potential points of failure.- Holds-up to various types of recoil and holds zero.- Optically clear with crisp dot.- Easy to adjust for windage and elevation.- Has eleven brightness settings and is very clear on the brightest of days.Cons:- The emitter obscures a little of the lens on the bottom right, so it is not a perfect circle (I know this is a minor nitpick, but I have lesser red dots where the emitter is not visible).- Comes with the rubber lens covers that I have found always break.- The adjustment turrets are exposed, so if you drop it, they could deform.- Does not come with a tall riser mount. So, all in all a pretty decent red dot sight that would be perfect for the range or for home defense.

Nice large reticle, bright dot, and solidly built.
Although I have not yet had a chance to test it out at the range, I think this is going to make a very nice rifle sight. Personally, it is a bit big for use on most pistols. For the price, it is built quite well and is very solid.Doing a quick checkout of it's features, I like that is still uses a standard CR2032 battery rather than being rechargeable. Recharging can be nice, but in an emergency situation, just being able to swap the battery out can be much quicker. The battery is also held in by clips all around it, so if you had to change it in the field there is no danger of it falling out. I also like that the screw slots on the windage and elevation adjustments are wide and deep and easy to adjust with almost any coin or a wide tip screwdriver. They also have a nice bit of tactile feedback and a faint click when you adjust them. The lens itself is large and clear and the laser is very visible. It has more than enough adjustment range from very dim for night usage to very bright. Unlike many sights, the full brightness setting did not cause a starburst or halo (I tried to take a picture of it on the brightest setting, but not sure how well you can tell). The lens cover itself is of the typical stretchy rubberized bikini style, which works. I also think I like the rotary dial for setting the brightness more than the push buttons that some come with.Overall, about the only things I wish this sight had were flip up sight covers rather than bikini and a riser mount for co-witness (but one can be added). Those are just wishes though and I really like this sight.
