I’ve had Syrian hamsters in the past but forgot how big they can get. Unfortunately my daughter’s hamster quickly outgrew the tiny wheel that comes with the “medium” cage that’s deemed suitable for Syrians. It might fit them as babies but they don’t stay small! Poor little thing was getting very bored and frustrated and was chewing the bars as she couldn’t use her wheel. So I bought this last night and it arrived this morning. Opened the box and the wheel is giant compared to the old one! It just fits inside the cage (next purchase is a cage upgrade), on its stand, and the hamster can run in it comfortably, her back is straight and spine not bent. The wheel is very sturdy, thick, and moves beautifully. She’s had a little test on it then gone back to bed for the day. And as it’s so silent it means my little girl can have her hamster back in her room and not be kept awake at night! 100% worth the money, highly recommend.

This wheel is big and very sturdy. Our new hamster took to it immediately! It’s expensive but after reading reviews about other wheels, it’s worth paying that bit extra. As soon as I took it from the box I knew it was good quality. All I can hear, while sitting next to the cage, is the tiny patter of our hamsters feet and that’s much nicer than the noise from other wheels we’ve had in the past. I also trust it won’t fall and hurt the hamster.

This is a perfect sized wheel for hamster and is very silent. Its height is adjustable and it’s easy to take apart to clean. I would recommend this wheel!

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had lots of syrian hamsters and tried many many wheels, this one is without a DOUBT the best I’ve ever tried. It’s extremely good quality, and can be adjusted nice and high so it’s great for a tank cage with lots of bedding/nesting material in while still keeping the wheel solid and balanced. By far it’s given my hamster the best running experience she’s had in a wheel so far, perfect size for her to absolutely sprint without being stopped by a shaky wheel- it stays really solid (and she’s a pretty chunky gal!). Well worth the cost if you want a very happy syrian hamster! (and it’s SO quiet!)

it worked great for about a month and now suddenly it just won’t spin when my hamster runs on it no matter what i do. it seems to get stuck it just refused to spin to the right and now part of the wheel is broken. i do not recommend now i have to find another wheel that will actually do its job.

Edit: DO NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER! I made this mistake by rinsing under the shower, this has messed up the bearings/caused rusting which means the wheel now makes a knocking noise. This isn't really the fault of the wheel but more of a user error. You are better off cleaning with a pet safe spray and kitchen roll or cage/hutch wipes.Pricey but definitely worth it to be able to sleep at night! Very silent, I can only hear my hamster's feet pattering on the wheel or when an occasional piece of food falls into the wheel. Easy to clean acrylic compared to some other wooden wheels on the market. It feels very sturdy and doesn't shake or rattle. It did arrive packaged very well however there were a few deep scratches on the stand. This is mostly cosmetic and doesn't affect the use.

When I first bought this wheel it was perfect- made no noise whatsoever and my hamster loved it.My issues with the wheel came when I cleaned it for the first time. DO NOT GET THIS WHEEL WET!!! The baring inside of the wheel has rusted and now it makes a horrible squeak. A few times I have woken up in the night thinking my hamster was in pain due to the loud squeaking noise, but it’s just the wheel. I have tried to remove the rust, I have used sewing machine oil on the baring to try and get rid of the noise but it didn’t work. I will have to buy a new wheel which is super frustrating because this wheel was not cheap.Ultimately, this wheel is fantastic as long as you take care of it. Find a more suitable method of cleaning your wheel like a pet-safe disinfectant spray
