Works, easy, no install
Worked fast no install. Works good and didn’t need a CD install. I got it for my laptop that hasn’t been able to find my WiFi network. I ordered others but I don’t have a CD drive on my laptop for the installers.

SAVED my 2 year old computer
for some reason, i lost wi-fi connection to my computer. win 10 would not recognize my built in lan hardware / adapter and, without being able to connect to internet, could not do most of my to do stuff. worked hours and hours trying to recover, then installing variations of new wi-fi software, and trying to do fresh install of win 10, nothing worked (also tried a ton of other stuff). i bought this little adapter, fussed around with it and touchy win 10 home convoluted software and finally got everything working again. saves me $600 for new laptop. thanks LOTEKOO for your device at very reasonable price.

About Linux
You may have won some battles Windstream I mean Verizon but you have Not won the warI will tell You about Linux and this device but first My storyon a cold December night 2013 the lights went out on My Truck that Is when I found out they removed all the payphones and My Windstream land line did Not work most of the time so I was forced to buy a cellphone I did Not know anything about cellphones and It cost Me hundreds of dollars to get It to work then I found out with a Smartphone that can get Internet so I had to try and It cost Me thousands of dollars trying out different Smartphones and jumping from cellular company to another and I found Samsung Galaxy S 5 worked best for My needs because I was dropping Windstream landline because of high price and bad service I desperately way to get Internet to My Computer It took Me a few years to find out about Hot Spot and Tethering then I the last cellular company I joined Is Verizon because they have the strongest signal here do Not need a expensive signal booster.but My Samsung Galaxy S 5 was falling apart so I bought a LG V 30 then just simply swap the SIM card and back In business but Not so simple when I went to Tether to My Computer as I done many times before It but now It will Not Tether to My Computer It work but then shuts off and I think Its something Verizon Is doing Verizon Customer service Is terrible can Not do anything through It and because of the security freaks Its next to Impossible to set up a on line account, and being stuck outside of a ghost town and everything being shut down because of covid 19 virus so I tried to order a smartphone from Verizon web sight It would Not process the order but My LG V 30 would Hot Spot to other devices as Nintendo Switch and My LG tell-lie-vision.So next Idea get on YouTube and find away to by pass Verizon shutting off the Tethering but requires computer connected to Internet to do It so next I next Idea use a WiFi to USB device and WiFi to Ethernet I spent around 140 dollars on WiFi to USB and Ethernet devices Nothing would work with Linux so next Idea was to Install Microsoft Windows but the security freaks has got It where that can Not be done at home anymore I read Microsoft Windows on USB Flash Cards do Not work most of the time so You have to download Windows from the Internet ????? can Not get a Internet connection to My Computer and on top of that Verizon throttles Me down from 18 MBPS to 60 KBPS Not much faster than the old dial up here It Is 2020 and can Not get something faster than dial up I used 20 years ago and now they are trying to pawn 5 g on Us that Is a health hazard to Children, I seriously want to hit Verizon ceo In the face with a brick. so anyway I ordered a company refurbished Computer that has Microsoft Windows on It using My Smartphone but but when I got the Computer only to find out the Western Digital hard disk drive was dead on arrival then the power supply stopped working I had a old power supply for back up and got that Computer working but No Microsoft Windows but They Included a WiFi to USB adapter so I decided to try It with some set up It Worked without Installing any software It was plug and play with on LinuxThis Is a plug and play on Linux all I had to do was Inter the Smartphone pass word and It worked but on KDE was a little more complicated KDE brings up 2 security things the recommended one did Not work It kept shutting of and kept smarting off about needing permission from Verizon so I so I tried Blow-Fish and got It working but after 30 minutes It starts to slow down so what I do Is shut off the WiFi on the Smartphone and unplug the WiFi to USB adapter and wait 2 minutes then set everything back up

Horrible driver software, required workarounds to get it working.
Just got the adapter working after an hour of troubleshooting. Basically, their driver software is trash. If you're facing the error with horrible English stating that your operating system is 'not supported', read the rest. Essentially the software is incorrect but the driver files themselves are good. So if you're trying to get it to work, read the rest.1. Go to Device Manager2. Click the network adapters arrow3. Right-click "Realtek RTL8192EU"4. Click Update Driver Software5. Choose "Browse my computer"6. Make sure "Include subfolders" is checked and browse to the CD included.7. Follow this path: Windows -> RTWLANU_Driver8. Next you'll be greeted with folders sorted by operating system and architectures. I have a 64 bit version of Windows 8 so I selected for the Win8X64 folder. (If you need any help finding what OS/arch you have, try googling or looking for an 'About' option on your computer.)9. Once you're done selecting folders, press OK and hit next. Windows should start installing the software.10. Finally once it's done go to your taskbar, select either an icon of signal bars or wifi bars, and see if the adapter has picked up any connections. If so, go ahead and choose yours.these steps ended up working for me, hope it helps someone out.
