Great quality glass. Beautiful fogs! But yellow light….
Fogs are beautiful. Glass is nice and thick. I put them on my O.G. 91 Jaguar. Close to OEM size. I absolutely love them, but the light is NOT VERY BRIGHT and is dirty yellow color.BUY THESE and just swap in a different and brighter bulb. They really are beautiful fogs with thick, clear glass.

Good for Fog Lamps with Amber/Yellow LED Bulbs
I've had Hella 550 fog lamps on my truck for years. Recently, I opted to convert to LED bulbs. The only catch was that the typical Hella 550 fog lamps have a diffuser inside to broaden the light in front of the truck. The diffuser cannot accommodate the length of most H3 LED bulbs.Because of this, I decided to use the Hella 550 driving lamp kit (which doesn't have an internal diffuser) and install H3 LED amber/yellow bulbs. The install was easy... Remove the 2 side screws of the housing and the lens assembly comes right out. Piece of cake.

The lights are great, but this is not the complete kit. The pictures of the kit show protective covers. Mine arrived without any covers, so now I have to order them separately. Not at all what I had in mind.

If I had paid the CEO of Hella $61.53 to defecate in my mouth I would feel less ripped off.
Build quality is garbage compared the the 1980's model (same model lamp) I bought these to replace. Glass lens/insert barely fits plastic housing. Plastic housing is flimsy and already gouged and a bit twisted by having to force it to fit mounting bracket. Not even approaching waterproof without some serious silicone or similar. Rubber grommets for wire strain relief barely fit. Mounting hard-wear is cheap galv steel. My old ones lasted 30 years. I doubt these will lat 30 weeks.
