A MUST for Gardners
I had one of these for at least 10 years. I recently lost it somewhere on our property (a few acres). I looked all over for it for two days, after which I ordered another one without hesitation. I used mostly to pull big- rooted weeds. It is a life saver for me, and I don't see how anyone can do without it. The Japanese always make good products, and you can be assured this one is top-notch in balance and quality!! I have another one that I refuse to use - no comparison.

Quality tool with many uses
This is a very affordable and well made tool for yard and garden work. It is very sharp and can easily cut through roots, pants and hand, so be careful.High quality steel and I think the handle is japanese white oak? Not sure. But the head is well placed on the handle with a secondary and tertiary attachment. Highly recommend this tool over a 5lb mattock or gardening axe/hoe.

Big tool in a little package
One of the best gardening tool we’ve ever had. Bought myself one. Husband loved it. Had to buy him one. Amazing that this little tool works like a big one.

Good design
My main beef with these tools ( I have several) is the potential for the head to come off since you’re pulling on it with every stroke. This one has a screw in a good position to secure the head withoutbreaking or splintering the handle. Cheaply made but good value for the price.

The handle snapped after a week of use.
Beautiful design, but the handle snapped after a week of use. Not sure what kind of wood is used for the handle, but it did not last. The wood needed to be hickory and was certainly a softer wood than that.NOT Japanese craftsmanship. They do not make tools that break with light use. Just a sales pitch and a Japanese-looking label.
