They are plastic but I use the for communion cups so they do the work

Certainly not shatterproof
Items arrived in a standard Amazon cardboard envelope which provided inadequate protection. Box had been somewhat crushed and some of these shot glasses were cracked although this may be down to Amazon, this would not equate to 'shatterproof' in my opinion.Item rejected.
