Fixed knee and hip problems. Our dog is like a puppy again!
This is an absolutely AMAZING product! ActivFlex has honestly changed my dog's life. She went from whining at the bottom of the stairs (waiting for someone to carry her, because her legs/hips were too sore) to running laps around the house and bouncing from one piece of furniture to the next. She really is like a whole new dog. She almost never seems to have leg, knee or hip pain anymore. She is happier and more active than ever. THANK YOU!!!Honestly, I really can't say enough about this product. Our 7 year old Pomchi used to suffer from frequent knee and hip pain, especially after climbing the stairs and jumping up on furniture. It got so bad that we spent over a year and multiple vet visits, trying to find something to help her. We tried a myriad of different OTC and prescription medications, supplements and special foods; however, nothing really seemed to help all that much, until we finally found this product. We've been using these for close to 2 years now and couldn't be happier with the results. We have noticed a HUGE IMPROVEMENT in our dog's activity level, happiness and overall well-being since we started using ActivFlex.-------------------------------------------------------------------------WHAT MAKES THIS SUPPLEMENT DIFFERENT (OPINION)-------------------------------------------------------------------------Like most other dog arthritis supplements, these chews contain Glucosamine, Chondroitin & MSM, plus an important, additional ingredient called Turmeric, which is known to help with inflammation in humans and dogs. However, there is one major drawback to Turmeric and that is the fact that the main active ingredient in Turmeric is a spice called Curcumin. If the Turmeric compound contains too much Curcumin, it can cause a whole host of side-effects (https://www.certapet.com/turmeric-for-dogs/#Curcumin_Side_Effects) with the most common issue being nausea and vomiting - especially in smaller dogs. This is exactly what we found with all of the other turmeric supplements we tried for our dog. When we first tried ActivFlex (I believe it was named slightly different at the time), I honestly didn't notice that it contained Turmeric, otherwise I probably wouldn't have tried it. Man am I glad I didn't, though, because I feel like the the addition of turmeric (at least the particular formulation they use in ActivFlex) has really made all the difference in our dog. We can tell she feels SO MUCH BETTER and has less inflammation and soreness in her knees and hips. I might reach out to Plano Paws to get more information. If so, I will update this review.

Great for Dog with Bilious Vomiting
My 8yo great dane mix has bilious vomiting syndrome and arthritis. Based on our vet's recommendation, we tried the super expensive Dasuquin supplements first. She wasn't able to digest the Dasuquin treat and consistently threw it up after 1-2 hours. We switched her to PlanoPaws ActivFlex supplements which she tolerated very well. The ingredients are good, she enjoys the taste, and she tolerates them very well. She didn't experience any vomiting or other GI symptoms at all with PlanoPaws ActivFlex.I'm giving four stars because we found another supplement, ScruffyPet Hip and Joint supplements, which had higher amounts of glucosamine, had more nutrients, and she only needed 3 per day for her weight versus 4 of the ActivFlex for the same price. (Both are 120 chews for $30.) We are also giving her the ScruffyPet Omega 3 Fish Oil for Dogs and Cats in the pump bottle. Her arthritis symptoms are managed and she is more mobile than before. As for the PlanoPaws ActivFlex, this is a good product; however, I would opt for the ScruffyPet supplement for the better ingredients and value. If I couldn't find ScruffyPet, PlanoPaws would be my second choice.

4 year old Rottweiler recently started
I have a Rotty that will be 5 years old in December. We get a workout in of about 1-2miles each day to stay healthy. He is on a high quality protein dog food, but I admit, he does have cheese sausages and pig ears regularly for his treats lol. He mostly does free run/sniffs while I do my structured workouts because I don't want him to get bored. I noticed a couple years ago that after we would return from a workout, he would begin to limp on his back leg for a little while, then would be fine within the hour. Now, it's his left front leg that seems to be a bother.I don't know if it is arthritis or what. The doctor said he is healthy and to keep him active is the best thing for him as he continues to age. It's still worrisome to seem him limp a little though. So I order AtivFlex to help him out.He didn't really like the smell too much in the beginning (neither did I) but now he will eat them with no problem! It's only been a few weeks but i can definitely tell it is helping him recover faster. Like he will be sore in the morning before the workout, even though he doesn't seem to notice the soreness when he spots a rabbit that needs a good chasing lol. However, post workout, he will immediately lay down on the wood floor to cool down, he may get up after a fe motives and limp but he definitely is ready to go again sooner than before the AtivFlexI'm sure that with more time for him to adjust to it he will have even more improved results. Also, I should note that I started him off with 2 pills for week 1, then 3 pills until now. I wanted to make sure he didn't have any side effects to something new, and he does not have any at all. He's roughly 115lbs of muscle so when I start a new package for next month he will be on the full recommended 4 chews/day for his weigh.Definitely will be placing another order soon! Great product!
