Enjoyed this coffee thoroughly! Being a bourbon fan, I was looking forward to this taste test. I thoroughly enjoyed Coopers coffees. Rich, full flavor with a hint of fruit! I had to have a 2nd cup I’d been burnt out on the hum drum mud of the past! I have arrived at my new flavor coffees! Will buy again!

Dang, this Cooper’s Cask Coffee Bourbon Barrel-Aged is somethin’ else! Tastes like someone dropped a cup of coffee in a bourbon barrel and let it soak up all the good stuff. It’s smooth, got a little bit of that caramel and vanilla goin’ on, and just enough bourbon flavor to make you feel fancy without it bein’ all hoity-toity. Perfect for sittin’ on the porch and pretendin’ you’re a coffee connoisseur. Ain’t no Folgers, that’s for sure!

First, let me give you a bit of my background, I served 10 years in the USA Navy and made two deployments to the Middle East. If there is one thing that the US military drinks more than alcohol it’s coffee. You name it I have tried it and every way it can be served from black to fru fru, even those “extreme caffeine” coffees. I was skeptical of this coffee, but willing to try it. The smell you get when the coffee percolates was very light almost unnoticeable which kinda of was a negative for me (could be a positive for people who don’t like the smell of coffee). The first sip was quite pleasant smooth with a light sweetness of rum but very smooth. I then added a splash of milk and one spoon of sugar! Second sip, perfection!!! The sweet of the sugar heightened the flavor of the rum making it dance around my tongue. The rum flavor delicately fades away leaving no trace or after taste. I find myself yearning to take another sip. Standing out on my patio in the cold breeze air I take another sip and close my eyes, memories flood back to my more youthful days standing watch in the North Atlantic the ship heaving in the waves and the coffee like a gift from the gods! This coffee is divine!

A co-worker recommended this coffee to me stating its the best coffee he's ever had. I suppose if you enjoy the beverages the blends are named after then you might like this coffee. I didn't care for it but I drank it because it was a gift from my wife and it was very pricey.
