Good, HOT Little Gas BBQ!
Good Little BBQ!Grill gets very hot (500-625° with lid closed) & food is close to the flame so you have to move things around a lot so you don't burn them (i.e. with longer-cooking foods like potatos). With a little fine adjustment i was able to turn down the flame pretty low without it going out. Other reviews said it could use a wider flame shield & i agree. I suggest if it were wider AND had holes in half of it (like along one long side) you could move food to a cooler area to cook slower. As it is out of the box, the coolest spot is directly over the heat shield. Around the sides of the grill get hot! Have an oven mitt handy & a Phillips head screwdriver so you can re-tighten the front plastic handle screws after your first hot cooking session. This is a Great Grill for steaks & burgers though! I will definitely take it camping!FYI: Underneath the bbq unit gets quite hot so make sure it's not on a delicate surface, etc, as it could possibly melt/damage a plastic table or rubberized tablecloth. I put a couple of big ceramic floor tiles under mine & it makes a great spot to keep your food warm wrapped in foil.I hooked mine up to a larger 5 gallon tank with an adapter hose i got off Amazon. Works great! For camping I'd probably just bring a few of the small propane bottles.Grill was pretty straighforward & simple to put together (45 min-1 hr), but i am good with mechanical assembly of things like this. The regulator Does turn freely once "locked" in place. It is a loose fit, but it does not affect the performance or flame. It's very easy to turn & remove it for transport. (You can also leave it still attached to the small bottle or tank hose. Just make sure gas is shut off or else disconnect bottle/tank completely if you smell any gas).Overall, I am Very happy with this little grill. It will be nice to have for portable summer grilling!

Control
The gas control is easily adjusted. It does not need to be set at the highest flow rate, as is the case with some other grilles. The grill is of a good size and will accommodate adequate servings for four people, as well as being easy to clean.

Easy to Assemble
My husband and I love this little Char-Broil Grill. We used our old one - identical to this one - for years until it practically fell apart. It is easy to assemble and hook up to propane. Being just two of us we no longer needed a large grill. With our first Char-Broil Grill, we bought a portable grill table to set the grill upon for easy cooking as well as being able to roll the table under the roof out of rain. This is the perfect grill for us.

Must assemble
There was more assembly involved than I expected but it was fairly easy! I wasn't expecting to have to assemble the ignitor and that was slightly daunting for someone who's never assembled a grill. It was really easy though. Just followed the instructions. I got this because I wanted something that I could put on a table on my patio but also take camping. We took it on a camping trip and it was great but a little larger than I would have liked. Honestly, I think it was better off just using my normal camp stove and grilling on the fire. Just not super compact for camping if you are packing in a car. It's a great little barbecue though! He heats up very fast.

Great Grill
Grill gets hot quickly. The gas attachment is a but loose and was concerned there was issue but seems it's made loose to rotate canister to desired direction cause if canister sits to one side it blocks the igniter switch to you can rotate gas canister to other side to avoid it leaning against the Grill which I think is a good quality about Grill. Gas attachment doesn't just pop off easily even though it sits loose. You have to turn it few times and pull it out. It does lock into place with small metal stub. Grill is easy to clean and easy to out together. Better to use a drill bit for quick assembly.
