Updo Perfection
Flocked French pins have been around forever and these are of great quality. I ordered the gray ones and they blend in seamlessly with my gray hair. They are durable and the flocking has held up just fine with multiple use. My hair is almost to my waist, so there’s a lot of hair to put up a French twist. Yet these pins do a fantastic job of holding it in place throughout the day! Just three pins do the job of 10+ bobby pins. The flocking grabs the hair for a great hold. They come in various sizes for your needs and while a little pricy, it’s worth it because they are lasting a long time and are holding their shape.

When nothing else works, try these!
Caveat: The flocking comes off with water. Certainly they can’t survive a pocket that ends up in the washing machine (I killed several this way.)But otherwise I give them a solid 5 stars. They really locked my hair in place and I was pleased with how I only needed a couple to hold my buns. They really perform beautifully. Seriously a wonderfully performing pin.But I won’t repurchase because they’re very expensive and I lost them all within a couple of months. This is a “me problem,” so I decided to not lower my rating.

Much Better than Regular Hair Pins, Especially for Fine Hair
I have a lot of really fine hair and these work great for keeping my hair up! Because of the flocking, they are slightly thicker than a regular hair pin, but still disappear into my hair, possibly because of the flocking - there is no tell-tale shine or reflection of "regular" hair pins.My hair is cut into a bob, about an inch above shoulder length, with "invisible" layers for volume. With my shorter hair length and fine hair I prefer the smaller size and need only three of the smaller size to anchor a French twist securely for the day.I do not think the ends are any sharper than any other hair pin and they are very easy to use, especially for someone familiar with using hair pins (not bobby pins).I can use the same three pins daily, for over a week, before they need to be thrown away and replaced with new pins.

Blond works; too expensive
They work well with my fine (but lots of it) long, blond hair. I took one star off for the excessive price.

Best hair pin ever
I have very thin and very fine hair. Three of the small clips holds a bun in place all day without slipping.

Non-slip and much easier to use than standard bobbypims
Most bobby pins are hard to open, especially if you have artificial nails. These are super easy to use, stay where they are placed, and great for securing fake messy buns etc. Since they don't have to be priced open they are much easier to use.

Too pricey, but awesome
The title says it all. The flocking wears off, there's not so many in the package, so you end up spending more on these things. They really are great. You can hold thick hair in place with one of them (preferably about 2-3 for not gonna move status). Need a larger package to justify the price point per uses.
