I have no idea why I'd mount a scope on a shotgun. I just got this in case the idea occurred to me. I have one for my 30-06 too. I've never used it since it has iron sights. But you never know, I might miss one day ?? Course if I miss with a shotgun it might be time to quit ??

Perfect fit easy to install make sure you lock tight screws you will have no problem

A little thicker than what I like sits kind of high on top of the gun but it fits perfectly on top. Other than that, secures a scope pretty well. Would recommend getting one to try.
