Mahogany Smoked Meats: Slab Beef Jerky - 16oz

This is more like the original jerky made long long ago to preserve meat for as long as possible, and so travelers could take some along without it molding in their packs. Yeah, it’s dry; real jerky is a long drying process. It’s a workout for your teeth and jaws as jerky ought to be. All those other jerks that have been soften and sweeten for today’s wimpy people just don’t cut it.

ive bought four of these this order not very happy with this one. Toufgh as a old boot not very good i feel that i have been cheated not worth 43.00 bucks the last three were really good not this one.

very good. I will continue to be a customer as along as you stick to your recipes I think the produce price point is a bit high, but I will continue to be s possible customer. I make it myself which is so much better, but we will see. Keep up the good work on your beef, and I would love to see more peppery hot turkey jerky options.

I'm generally a fan of beef and deer jerky - and am not too picky about either. That said, this brand (Mahogany Smoked Meats) is currently my favorite. I've tried 2 different flavors and have enjoyed both a great deal. For variety I'll be making the rounds.

It's very...very dry. Very salty too. You should know that before you actually get it. I was dumb enough to not read the label, but I hate dry beef jerky, the taste is just not good in comparison to sweet/spicy jerky. I'll probably be throwing it out later, which is a waste of jerky but definitely my own fault here.

Yes it's expensive, but go to the grocery store and check out how many pouches of jack links shitscraps you need to buy to get a pound of jerky. Then add in the fact that this stuff isn't soaked in sugarwater and it becomes apparent you're actually getting more meat for your $$ as this is a very dry jerky (as jerky should be). It tastes amazing, this pound should last a few weeks and then I'll buy more.

The Smokey flavor is spot on , one of the best in flavor I have had in a long time...For me, I still like mine a little dryer.... You know, the kind you have to chew for minutes, I realize most don't like it like that, but I sure do.It will take me less than 2 weeks to finish this myself, @ $40.00 a package it is pricey, to enjoy daily....
