Installation Instructions Useless and Allen Wrench is sketchy at best
I installed this product today. The instructions are awful. If someone didn't know better they would mount this with both brackets at the top, since the bottom bracket has a spot for the pin to go into. Also, there is no reason that you can't reverse the left and right so that both arms fold in the same direction if your ladder is mounted to close to the outside edge of your camper. Finally, the way that the product is designed makes almost impossible to get the allen wrench on the bolt and when you do, it's difficult to get it back out due to the pin placement. You can reverse and put the nut on the front side, but you won't get a ratchet on it. Also buy ratchet straps. The strap that comes with it won't cut it. I bought 6' retractable ratchet straps that are good for 1500 pounds.Other than those things, the product is very sturdy. It holds two gravity chairs with no problem. It holds my 40 gallon tank easily as well.

Adds Additional Storage
Let's face it! Space is a premium in any RV. There's just not enough. Whoever thought about storing items on a ladder was BRILLIANT!This ladder rack is mounted on the ladder, where the steps are. If you need it higher, you just move it up a step. The steps prevent the ladder rack from slipping down. The arms have 2 positions and lock into each position with locking pins. If you need to use your ladder, just move the arms by pulling the pins. The pins are attached to prevent loss.I do recommend that, if your ladder rack is mounted in a lower position, you move the arms to the position close to your RV. The arms are very easy to walk in to, if they're sticking out.We use ours primarily to haul our 35 gallon "honey wagon." There's a strap that comes with the ladder rack, but I didn't feel comfortable with just one strap holding a 35 gallon portable waste tank. I bought some 2 sided Velcro strapping and use this to secure the tank to the ladder. We've traveled from Nashville to Myrtle Beach and back with no problems.I highly recommend this ladder rack.

Works great
This ladder mount frees up much needed space and is sturdy enough to hold the waste tank.

The bracket is nice to go on your ladder
But installing it with the hardware that it comes with the little Allen tool doesn't hold the one side very well I wish they could put different bolts in the kit otherwise everything was great

WELL BUILT BUT…….
THE PRO. This aluminum chair rack is built well, sturdy and reasonably strongTHE CONS. It has several design flaws. It is only designed to attach to RV ladders built from round stock aluminum. . NOT for square stock steel. I was able to adapt it to my Brinkley’s steel ladder, but had to purchase longer SS bolts, which meant a trip to ACE and another $22. The longer bolts had to be installed with the nuts on the visible side. As well as.being a cosmetic woe, the “reverse” bolt and nut arrangement made the brackets MUCH more difficult to tighten. Also, this is a two person instal job. I did it by myself but another set of hands to help hold the rack-halves in place while the brackets are being tightened would have definitely helped. Also, the knurled rubber grips for the chairs(or ladder or whatever you’re going to hang) are too short. Back to ACE for some 1” foam pipe insulation for additional grip/padding, another $10. The tie down strap provided in the kit is a joke. Needs a MUCH stronger ratchet strap and at least one strong rubber bungie are a must, Back to ACE and another $15😖😖. One last thought, be sure to measure the INSIDE width of whatever you are going to hang to make sure this rack isn’t too wide for it. Anyway, on and secure but can’t give it more than three stars. Live and learn.
