Q: Does the red light suppose to stay blinking. Can you cut it off to where theres no lights blinking?

No. Their theory is that the red light blinking lets you know where the device is if you lose power and are stumbling around trying to find a flashlight. I agree with you: it's a pain in the ass. I keep mine plugged in in a corner of my office with the LED display turned toward the wall. A very scientific approach. But it works. Otherwise a great product.

Q: will this light charge an iphone 5S?

Hi Megan, yes, it should charge it just fine. We have heard that certain iphones sometimes have problems receiving a charge from any type of power-bank. But every phone we've tested the unit on was charged successfully. We were told that every once in a while an iPhone won't take a charge for some reason, it's just an "apple" thing apparently. But you are backed by a 30 day return and if you keep it, you get a free 2 year warranty. Thank you,

Q: Is it able to charge from a 220 volt Outlet?

The other respondents don't know what they are talking about. this charges on 5 volts DC. So if you live in a place with 220 you already have available 220 AC to 5VDC Chargers, in fact most US ones are 110-240 AC to 5VDC. House mains 110-220 VAC to 5VDC, car 12CDC to 5VDC, and of course power banks all output 5VDC. I have scores of chargers around my house from iphones, other phones, powerbanks, etc etc that are 5vdc output and I cant find a single one that isn't BOTH 110-120 and 220-240 input.
