OWill Kitchen Sink Strainer Plug Stainless Steel Thicken for Kitchen Sink, Diameter 78mm

I thought i would really struggle getting hold of a strainer plug to fit an 15 year old sink.It did take a bit to look at all the options but finally settled on this one and was so glad i did.It took two minutes to assemble and was a perfect fitThere seems to be two different sizes out there 78mm and 80mm so make sure you measure twice and order once.Very pleased with item will probably order another one knowing it fits perfect.Good delivery times from the channel islands.

I bought this to replace the worn out one in the kitchen. When I first put it in I was not convinced it would do the job as it was slightly smaller than the one I was replacing, however I was really wrong. This plug holds the water really well in the sink and strains out the bit of debris from the washing up. It is a good quality plug and well worth the money.

The rubber seal is a larger diameter than my original drain plug seal and the basket on this one is slightly smaller in diameter. It did kinda seal but the water would drain away before too long. I ended up cannibalising this one to fix my original drain plug so it wasn't a total loss.

My previous sink strainer – 10 years old – came apart in the kitchen sink, and wouldn’t go back together again. I thought I might be able to without one altogether, but soon came to realise that – yes – a replacement would be helpful.I was about to order a replacement at a cost of around £6 or so, when I spotted this one at half the price. I was a little sceptical, but thought it was cheap enough to give it a go. The product arrived quickly, was simply assembled in a matter of seconds, and slotted into the sink very easily. So I promptly ordered two more, to match the number of sinks in the kitchen & utility rooms. That, I guess, is testament enough.The strainers have only been in use a short time – so I can’t comment on their longevity – but they seem sturdy enough to me. If I experience any problem with them, then I’ll come back and update this review!

Ok, I have given these some time to prove themselves, but no.First, the center piece is too long. When you put a bowl in the sink, it presses the plug down and closes it, so you have to lift the bowl out to use the “drain” function.Second, the center piece screws together, but comes loose and the bottom piece falls down the plug hole.third, the metal sticks up so that when you rub your hand over it, it cuts into you as the metal is so thin.so no good for sink or bath.
