We have a 1.5-year-old who loves spending time in our backyard, often barefoot. Dealing with chipmunks clogging up my gutters/downspouts. Thought these would help. They were easy to install but the little critters still managed to get up and clog two of mine. These were expensive but didn’t help.

I used this less for controlling water flow and more to control the angle. On a downspout pointing outward from a sloped side of the house, I needed to redirect the water so it did not shoot way out across the property during a heavy rain. The door flap on this helps redirect the water downward for a less severe angle of outflow.

These GutterGates extension to be attached to the gutter downspouts are the best invention to keep out critters (chipmunks, mice/rats, rabbits or skunks) from entering/getting stuck in the gutter downspouts. Since the installation of the GutterGates extension, we don't see any chipmunks or mice/rats around our house. The GutterGates are well made, sturdy and durable. Highly recommend the GutterGates extension.
