My new favorite thing!
I could not be happier! This is the perfect tea kettle for me. I love the fact that I can put a tea light or actual wood in it or coals. It makes it perfect for our needs. We are outdoors a lot on our property and have fires going most of the time, I love I can grab some coals from the fire put them in the warmer and the tea stay hot for a couple hours. Most of the time it doesn’t last that long. I use a beeswax tea light candle when indoors. This kettle is starting heavy cast-iron and so is the warmer. I’ve had no issues at all. The basket that comes inside of it holds quite a lot and makes it at least 6 4 ounce cups of tea. It’s beautiful and black and hobnail and it’s a great addition to my home. I get compliments on it anytime anyone walks in in my kitchen. I would highly recommend it.

Winner, winner ginger tea after dinner.
Yes yes yes. This was my favorite gift I received for Christmas. The weight of the cups and the pot make me feel like it will last forever. It holds so much water that it is perfect for my wife and I to do our nightly ginger tea and drink our fill. The basket is a nice touch so I can use both loose leaf, bags or add fresh ginger to my water. I can’t express enough how much I enjoy this.

Great teapot!
I got this pot for myself I was tired of boiling water in a regular pot. This pot stays warm and it’s great sturdy material. The cups are also very nice and it’s easy functionality. It’s very good material so it’s not so heavy but it definitely isn’t cheap.

All in all, pretty great; cups are usesless
For the people complaining about rust: IT'S CAST IRON. You can't just throw it in the dishwasher or leave it to soak, you have to oil it and keep it dry. Uou also have to mind the temperature because <paise for effect> hot metal burn. Burn bad.For everyone else, this is a nice little teapot. Being cast iron, it is hefty, but that helps woth the pour. The spout doesn't spill at all. The little plate it comes with (also cast iron, also will need to be cared for as such) has rubberized feet to keep from scratching surfaces. The metal dissipates heat slower so the tea stays warmer longer. Ir also only holds about one large or one two small cups worth of water, so be awareThe cups are pretty, but basically useless. Because they're the same material, if you pour hot tea in them, they're basically untouchable for a bit. Which ya know, kinda nixes the whole point of a teapot. They should have just included some similarly patterned ceramic ones.

A Quality and Sturdy Teapot Set!
I purchased the smaller version of this teapot set and I love it so far! It is made with durable cast iron on the outside and appears to be a very smooth ceramic/enamel material on the inside that's easy to clean. I am able to fill 5-6 cups of tea in the tea cups that it comes with. What I also love is that this teapot comes with a mesh strainer that allows me the option to use fresh tea leaves from my garden, or leaves that are dried. I love that the handle feels sturdy, that the tea keeps warm for quite a while, that the teapot can be placed directly on the stovetop to boil the water and that the outside does not become ruined. You do, however, have to be careful about filling the teapot with the volume of water it is capable of holding. When boiling, it will overflow. I boil less water than what it is able to hold, and turn the stove low before adding a little extra. The trivet is a nice addition that gives me peace of mind that my table top or table runners will not be the victim of heat damage. Absolutely worth purchasing again and giving as a gift!

Tea from the backyard.
If you are like me and you like to make your own tea with the plants you grew yourself, you will love this tea pot. I took some leaves from my spearmint plant and made a really great tea. I placed the cleaned leaves in the filter and poured some boiled water in, and after letting it sit i had some delicious tea.I highly recommend. It has a really nice texture and color on the outside, the cups get a little hot so the heat resistance is a little lacking. But as long as you dont pour it after a boil you should be fine. The material is very solid, but definitely make sure you dry the outside with some paper towels. The size is perfect, you really dont need it to be any bigger. Its a perfect center piece on your favorite "coffee" table and i think you would agree that this little set up is worth the money you paid.

Absolutely perfect
Poured hot water into teapot with Jasmine tea leaves and maintains enough heat for 23oz water. Enough time for you to finish the pot.
