Threaded just fine. 16" Chrome version
Some people complained that the threads where not correct, or that the plating/finish was coating the threads making it either not thread properly or leak.I got the 16" Chrome version, it is 1/2" threads, and yes the threads where chrome plated as well (as is standard for bathroom fixture fittings to be), it threaded in fine and tightened up fine with no leaks. There is nothing inherently cheap about this pipe, no different than what you would buy at a retail store.Alot of people either are not using teflon tape or using the tape improperly.Never use white tape for anything, its it stringy and terrible, it just falls apart when being applied or threaded. Always use a thicker tape like pink, grey, or yellow.Teflon plumber's tape is a LUBRICATION, is NOT a SEALANT! It allows the threads to turn without friction, allowing the fitting to get tight enough to seal. The tape is not stopping the water, the thread engagement is.Second mistake people have with tape is applying it backwards, you must apply it tought, and in the direction that it will be "screwing onto the threads" as you tighten. People commonly wrap the tape backwards, and when you are threading in the fitting it is actually backing tape off the threads or bunching it up instead of riding down INTO the threads.I suspect 90% of the complaints on these pipes is diy homeowner installation error. Pipe threads have to be tight-tight, and if there is improper lubrication either you can't get it tight enough, or the metal on metal friction is chewing into the threads to gall, or causing the finish to flake off which is then gumming up the threads and causes the leaks.

Recomended.
I redid my shower so that I can have an over the head rain shower coming from the ceiling and this pipe worked perfect for it. It has a good quality finish and it comes with all the pieces you need. Looks great.

Great build quality for fraction of the price
Quality of product is great. Waiting for the tile work to be finish before Install. Should be fine unless the threads are messed up, which I doubt are. Compared to big name companies the cost of this item is fraction of the cost.

Bigly value!
This is high quality pipe! Thick sidewalks, nice threads. Well worth the price.

Beautiful finish
I bought this ceiling mount arm for a rain head and it matches beautifully. The brushed gold finish is a nice metal instead of a painted finish like some of the faucets I purchased.
