Q: What kind of batteries and you can?

I bought this for my grandchildren, I'm not sure what kind of batteries are used. Sorry I can't be more help.

Q: What does this ornament do???? It doesn't say this in the product description!!!!

The ornament has a dial with 25 days on it. You start it on Dec. 1st and each day dial into the date of that day and listen to a message from a radio broadcaster about Santa's preparations for Christmas with news alerts about the weather and other things. It is a short message, about 1 minute. We listened to it every evening at dinner and we all enjoyed the messages and the excitement that the message builds. It is well worth the money and you can use it again and again each year. On the 25th, we hung it on our tree and we will enjoy it for years to come.

Q: What type of batteries?

Have not unpacked my ornaments yet, but it takes 3 triple AAA batteries. Very cute ornament and sounds great!! Perfect if you have smaller children, they will be very excited!!
