Brady - 65392 Wall Switch Lockout (Pack of 1) Red, Small

I purchased this Switch Lockout because I have some pranksters in my middle school classroom, imagine that 🙄. This lockout is a great solution. The maintenance man said it was very easy to install. He used a school lock given by my bookkeeper so the office can access if needed. I edged the plate with colorful tape to bring some style to these old walls and the device still looks official. Recommend!

I teach middle school and have an interior classroom. Some students turn the lights off and it is pitch black and hard to find the door. This was very easy to install, fits fairly flat against the wall and is sturdy. So far problem solved. Another teacher installed one of the cage types of cover and the students broke it with little effort.

The wall switch lockout I received is the same as the shown in Amazon but bigger, the distance between the screws is a 50% larger so it is unusable for a normal wall switch.It is sturdy and looks like it will work fine… in a bigger switch, not in the standard home switch

Works well anywhere you need to limit/discourage access to a toggle switch.I recently had power ran to my detached garage, and code requires a disconnect. A double-pole switch suffices, but I wanted to add a lockout adapter just to step it up a notch. Besides the added safety of locking the power off when working on stuff in the garage, it also discourages curious flipping of my garage disconnect.

If you have a geriatric patient or child who has a propensity to flip the wrong switch, turn things off that should be on etc, this is an EXCELLENT solution that is not difficult to put in place. It allows you to ensure a wall switch does not change position unless you want to.

This was easy to install but did not last long and was broken very easily. It's the idea of a lock out, not an actual lockout. Very flimsy as well, the plastic was flimsy enough that the switch could be flipped even while the thing was locked.

My home inspector mentioned I needed this for my heater switch. It fit perfectly, the price was low and inspector approved it. Thank you for making home ownership much easier.
