Its a Linksys the name says it all

This router is such a power house , very functional the Linksys name says it all. It can be expanded with nodes for greater coverage and you can add a USB device to it for remote accessing data stored on it. Its a bit tricky to set up at first but maybe it was just me the app was good but I prefer the old school way of using 192.168 thats just me . It was well worth the investment and upgrade . Absolutely would buy again.

Be careful if you need to use a WiFi extender with this router

Good router with ok WiFi range. Just be aware, if you need to use a WiFi extender it is not compatible with all extenders. Although some other companies extenders might connect with it, the mesh systems which allows automatic transitioning between the router and the extender may not be compatible. Ran into this problem when trying to use it with a TP extender. Both support a mesh system but the mesh systems are not compatible with each other. Nor is the Linksys Velop plug in extender compatible with this Linksys router.

Excellent Wi-Fi Router

We upgraded our home Internet plan to a 2.5 Gig plan from 1 Gig. Too many phones, laptops and TVs all going at once for the 1 Gig plan we were on. I upgraded our Modem and needed to upgrade our Router as well. I tried several Routers but simply was not satisfied with their performance. I decided to give the Linksys Hydra Pro a go. It has worked flawlessly from the get-go. We have a 6,200 sq. ft. house and literally every room gets Wi-Fi without any issues. Even though it's rated for 2,500 sq. ft ... the reach, at least in our environment, is far more than that. I'm not using any extenders or additional modules in the house. Every TV for example (which is on either Apple TV or Amazon Firestick 4K Pro) gets exceptional picture and audio without any buffering or broken audio. We have no cable boxes in the house ... all TVs are on Xfinity Stream. The only thing I can say is that the only firmware update we have gotten since installation was out of the box during the initial installation, I believe, it was done in January or February. I don't think Linksys is big on updates. That said, the main point is that the Router itself works exactly as stated and has worked without any issues whatsoever. From my perspective, and even though it may be a little outdated at this point, it is a great Router and I will keep it on-line for as long as I can.

Seems to be working properly

Bought this to replace a TP link ac2300. The Linksys seems to be working well and my devices seem to be connecting faster than with the TPlink. I wish the Linksys interface was more descriptive and intuitive. The app works well, just isn't very intuitive. Still haven't figured out if I can shut off the networks which I am not using. But I wanted a router than wasn't affiliated with China, as the TP link is. I know the Linksys isn't made in the US, but I don't think there are any wifi routers that are anymore.Bottom line: so far so good, stable and good signal strength.

Missing capabilities of other linksys routers, and broken settings

I'm likely going to return this router. was planning on replacing my nighthawk r9000 with this because i needed an ax router that could do vlan tagging and handled bridge mode better. seeing vlan tagging in my other newer-ish linksys routers with bridge mode I figured this one could do it as well but nope. there are also other small variances like no backup and restore config options, and no option to manually apply firmware update files. going to do a little more research and maybe see if the linksys support have plans to expand on these options, if i do keep it i hope the openwrt community opens this routers capability up.edit: i gave up on this device, after receiving errors from the device when it was trying to apply settings. I was trying to set the ip static and disable is dhcp, well it didnt like that at all. I did end up getting it to accept the settings finally by changing the devices ip, then setting the last two octets in dhcp to match, then saved and once it came back up it let me disable dhcp. I rebooted the device at that point after setting my nic to static so i could still access the device i then tried to set to bridge mode and then i couldnt access the device at all at that point, i even checked to see if it reverted back to the previous ip and it did not. they can probably fix this in firmware along with adding the missing vlan configuration but i'd rather not wait for them to fix such a broken device like this. the landing page that comes up when you try to access the device by pitching their cell app is quite annoying too, i couldnt find a way to disable that. perhaps why i couldnt bring up the config page as the device was stuck trying to show that page or something ridiculous like that.
