Beams MB360XT 200 Lumen Wireless Battery Operated Powered Motion Sensing LED Spotlight, 1-Pack, Brown

After an attempted break in, we wasted no time in covering our property with cameras. Unfortunately, because we live out in the middle of the woods, it is very dark and there are no street lights. The doorbell camera we installed wasn’t giving off enough infrared light, so even though it was turning on because it picked up movement at night, we couldn’t actually see anything on the video. We do not want to leave our front porch lights on all night, so we decided that we needed a motion light above our front door to be able to light up any movement.We ordered the Mr Beams light because of the low cost, favorable reviews, and the fact it was battery operated, meaning we wouldn’t have to wait for our electrician to fit us into her schedule. The light was easy to install, but we did use longer screws than the ones provided.Once it was dark out, I decided to go out through our garage and walk to our front door from the driveway to see a) how close I had to get before the light kicked on, b) to test if the camera senses the motion before the light or vise versa, and c) see just how bright the light really was.I was very happy with how quickly the light came on, I was probably about 20-30 feet approaching the front door from the side (the direction someone would be coming from our driveway/the road) and also happy with how bright it was. I checked the camera after I came inside and saw that it started to record maybe one to one and half seconds before the light came on. Our front porch is covered, so the light won’t be exposed to precipitation. The final test is to see how long the batteries last and if the bitterly cold Vermont winters affects the function at all.

Great product and very reasonable price. Recommended by a friend - bright light. And the 3 D batteries last a lot longer than i ever imagined. I love not having to deal with wiring it. Lights up my dark steps going into the house. Bought a two pack set and am planning to buy a set for an elderly friend.

I've bought several of this brand in the past. They give good reliable light and have a decent life span. They are motion sensitive. Good for shining a brief light on that door lock when you're fumbling with your keys or lighting a path.

Easy install, used own wood screws as the ones provided are difficult to screw, even with a pilot hole. Lighting is adequate, not super bright in my 2 car, carport. Works as advertised and expected.

I love the easy instructions , the design, how well it lights up , the fact that it’s waterproof and how simple it is to install , plus the battery life lasts about a year, which is great for me I only need about six months.Everything I review on Amazon tends to get fairly good reviews , but I do research and try the items , so most of the time I’m pleased. Regarding using the Mr. Beams exterior motion light , I don’t think you can really go wrong.

The media could not be loaded. We ordered two of them but only one works so I guess I’m gonna have to return the other one but the one that works works really good. I mean the dogs barely walk under and it turns on so I really love that. I just wish I didn’t have to return the other one to wait for another one to come in and they were for an excellent price and they seem really durable And they were very easy to

See this picture and how it is mounted upside down. Upright was not working because it would hit the top of the eves. Perfectly, can be mounted at any angle. Distance sensor is about 8-10 feet. I wish it was more like 15’ but turns on just at the right distance. I love how it only stays on for 17 seconds if there is no movement, which saves battery. Make sure you have all the pieces in place before installing because I had to take it off when I forgot to place the hold bolt. Drilling the place of where the three mounting screws will go with a smaller drill bit (I used a measuring tablet to size the screws and bit. I lost one screw (fell and couldn’t find it with my magnet) and have many replacements in a box so finding one as not a problem. This was placed in a window that is low and a security risk for entry. Bright and like I said it stays on just the right amount of time if no movement is detected. It also won’t turn on when it’s daylight. Great purchase!

This is a super bright light when batteries are new. Within a few nights light becomes more dim and within 1 to 1½ weeks, it's time to replace the batteries. "D" batteries are not cheap and this uses 3 at a time. So bottom line, this is easy to use, easy to mount, offers bright lighting, but doesn't last for long. To me it's a waste of money.

This is the second one of these we have purchased now and put up in our backyard. For the price it can't be beat. It takes 3 huge D batteries which is a pain however the first one we bought has been up for almost 2 years now and the batteries are still going strong so I have no issues with the batteries now. They have both now been out in very cold Calgary winters where temps have been down in the -30's and they have not failed. Super product.

Excellent product. Very easy to install. Smart. I was looking for all the detailed setup instructions. There aren’t any — it just works !!I can’t comment on how weatherproof it is as I’ve only just installed it and there’s not yet been any rain.

Easy to install but needs 3 D size batteries. Covers a good area and is very bright.

I have been testing this security light for a few weeks now. The reason why I like this product is because it works off batteries, which is exactly what I needed. It is very bright and easy to install. I have read about Mr Beams and they have a loyal following here is Australia (at least that is my takeaway). I think that the motion sensor is a tiny bit less sensitive than on some of my other lights, but it could also be my fault (i.e. placing is slightly awkward). Anyway, it's a good product, well-proced. I recommend.
