Great solution, no more jamming
Used this to upgrade/fix my BCG800XL which was jamming all the time. Old impeller was severely worn, to the point where I had to remove the burrs and clean packed grounds from the chamber every couple of days. This part completely fixed the issue. Make sure to read and follow the instructions on the ifixit site! I have lost one of the 2 washers under the impeller, as a result the new part sits a bit too low, and now I have the grind adjustment at the finest setting (used to be ~ in the middle). But it works great, and no more jams! Big thanks to the engineer who not only found a solution, but also took time to make it available to others, and make a super detailed write-up

Will not produce espresso grind
I'm sorry I didn't read the reviews before I bought. The part is too thin, so it lowers the lower burr and grinds the coffee too coarsely. I tried spinning the gear one whole turn more but this was too tight and the machine wouldn't turn. I guess it could be fixed with the right washer but each time you try a new washer you have to take the whole machine apart again. This part made my machine useless.DO NOT BUY!!!

Awesome impeller replacement for my smart grinder pro
Instructions were a tad unclear- could have used pictures, but totally fixed the issue I was having with my grinder (hallelujah). Be cautioned- it does require some DIY to replace the impeller, couple videos out there on YouTube explaining.

Works if you don't make espresso
This is a cheaper and faster alternative to a 3D printed replacement impeller. The installation process is the same and as many have mentioned, the included instructions are very basic. There are much better instructions on iFixit and YouTube. Worth noting, you will need a long 8"+ screwdriver to access the inner screws holding on the top burr assembly to the base.I did have an issue with the impeller essentially not fitting. On the fins of the impeller there are little plastic tabs sticking off of them that made it too wide. I bent these in with some needle nose pliers and was then able to install it. After reassembly my grinder was once again functional and no longer choking on the grounds. As many have mentioned, this part is thinner than the original. As a result, the grinder at the same setting grinds much coarser. I would say at least 33% of the fine range is gone. If you use this for espresso it will not work for you. I do aeropress and pour over so it works for me. If you do french press, this may actually give you a better grind for that. I always thought the coarsest setting was too fine for french press.

Fits entire throat of grinder.
This upgrade also fits units with metal she lived impellers.

Surprised it was available
OEM did not have this part available. Install was med difficulty. Have been able to use my grinder again.

Didn't fit properly and messes up grind calibration
The impeller initially wouldn't fit and had to be sanded down.More importantly, this impeller isn't as thick as the original and as a result the lower burr will sit lower than with the original impeller. The end result is that I can't get a fine enough espresso grind even after adjusting the grind setting cog. I'll have to experiment with spacers to get it to the proper height. All in all a waste of time and I think it's way overpriced for a plastic part that isn't manufactured to spec.

Great fix for a known problem with Breville grinders
I was going to sell my Breville grinder for parts before I found this solution to a common problem known about that causes clogging. The installation took a while, but that is because of the design of the grinders. Once installed the solved my problem 100% and saved me from buying a new grinder for $300+. Great product.
