Nice hatchback shower/dressing tent - Grand Caravan
I finally got to use my hatchback tent that I bought some time ago. It works fine with my Grand Caravan. I could see this also working on a regular van with the double rear door. It's not a sleeping tent per se, but it functions just fine for a camp shower or dressing area. It could be a small sitting area as well.It does have a net to go under the car to keep bugs out. And the door zips open. There is a second screen door inside the exterior door. The material is lightweight but seems durable. It's not your typical tent fabric. Its softer. It dries fast. It seems like it is water repellent. There are strings attached to loops on the tent that could be used to tie it a million different ways on various vehicles with a hatchback. The tent stakes included are actually pretty good. They are just not long. And it has a handy storage stack. I really didnt have to fold this up fancy to get it back in the bag. There are no hooks or clips included. So you'll have to figure out what works for you. And as far as the wind goes, this is suseptable to high winds just like most tents. So it's likely best used on less windy days. I'm not disappointed.

Easy set up
I'm impressed! For the price and size I needed, this worked wonders. My truck is very tall and I wanted the extra room in the entrance, so I figured out a way using 2 PCV pipes and rope to secure the top in place. I was able to close the back down at night and the top stayed in place. A design improvement would be to add straps to the top corners. (I inserted a small round rock to each corner and then tied it to the PCV pipe). I'll probably sew straps at some point. The zippers seemed to be strong enough as I zipped and unzipped it many times. Also, taking the tent down was a breeze and it folds up nicely. I found a bigger bag to store it in just for convenience. The only down side is when you do use it with a front entrance as I did, some insects do find there way in from the sides. I just sprayed the inside before going in for the night. If you pull it tight to the back of the vehicle and use the bottom screen then I'd say it it bug proof.

You may need additional items
Hard to stay on, no matter what I tied it too, very flimsy just keeps blowing with the wind letting all the hugs in. You may need to buy magnets or something to help the top stick. Does not close with it on. I need a different type of attachment for privacy that doesn’t mean keeping my trunk open. Or can close with it on in case I need to move or readjust or go to bed.Pretty easy to setup once you know what’s where. The zippers are good and I liked the double layer one mesh for the bugs and one black for privacy. Good space for the tailgate.Waterproof material. Good product Just isn’t what I needed.

Delighted with it!
Good quality, light weight, nicely made. Takes about 2 minutes to install (after initial setup) using roof rack and magnets, plus time to peg it down if desired. The tie line, ground pegs and instruction book was included in its own storage bad.. I leave the line in their loops when disassembled so it is a breeze to put back up again. It provides privacy and rain protection day and night. It fits my minivan hatch door perfectly. I can fit a small table and chair inside the netting and cook or relax or shower in comfort and privacy. Getting it back into the bad is tedious so why try…just roll it up and stow. Love this hatch tent and would buy again.

Not easy to set up at all
I bought this gift for my wife for her birthday and upon opening it this past weekend, it was not the easy to install item as described in the details and video. I had bought it early to make sure it would get here in time. It takes too long to put together and is very flimsy. We were thinking it was an easy magnet type canopy that would attach to the van. Id like to return the item for a refund. I dont want to give a negative review but i would like a refund.

Exactly what I needed
Because my 07 Vibe has a shorter hatch, I used two poles at the end to take full advantage of the length. Otherwise it was super simple to set up and secure— provided a private space to change clothes etc while car-camping.

Good value. Works well on my Sienna.
Works well on my Sienna. Sets up easily. I can lower the rear hatch with the tent installed and then raise it again after sleeping. It's made of very light weight material so it stows easily, but might not service a hurricane. I wish it had a floor and panel to block the under car area. If I find one like that, I'll buy it. But this was quite cheap, so the price/value ratio is low.

Don't buy
No options to open the sides. It's a plastic tarp for the most part. It's also black which makes it intensely hot inside.Wasn't impressed and returned it.
