Used for landscaping. Hand doesn't slip up onto the blade. The carbon fiber is beautiful, but has a duller finish than I would have thought. Doesn't matter, it's a work knife. Holds a good edge, and can cut through pretty big branches with no hot spot, especially when wearing gloves. I use a diamond sharpener on it, steel is decently hard. Not a fan of plastic sheaths, so used one of my old leather sheaths for it that fits it nicely. All in all, a good value for the money.

The blade grind on this knife is TERRIBLE...

This knife is actually unbelievable for the price and aims higher than most knives 10 times the price. I am a knife maker/collector and this piece is flawless. First production knife I have ever bought that I have zero complaints. Fit and finish are perfect, well built, perfect weight and sharp as hell! I bought this knife for a beater as the style caught my eye and price is low. It's easily top 3 of my favorite fixed blades I own. The sheath is actually perfect as well. Perfect retention and snaps into the sheath yet is very easy to remove. Great job Defcon! Will definitely be buying more from this company!
