The drain opener didn't work out for me. The end that goes down the drain was too big to fit either my bathtub drain or my kitchen sink drain. I think the construction of the drain opener was very good. I need a different opener for my drains.

For less than $16 and 15 minutes of work, I cleared the shower drain of accumulated gook which had almost totally blocked the drain. BIG saving over having a plumber come out to do the same thing. Product worked perfectly, exactly as promised.

Fairly long reach. This device is longer than the regular drain clog removal tools.It is a bit hard to operate using the plunger. The handle also doesn't feel very sturdy.

Will not work on standard sink or shower drain, you have to remove the cover or stopper. BUT worked great for pulling an item out of the toilet that was backing it up and I'm sure saved us $100 on a plumber. Good for large drain openings.

This grabber has a fairly typical plunger-driven spreading 4-claw functional design, but is longer than most and has a plastic jacket on the coil cable. I guess the jacket keeps liquids from penetrating the cable from the sides, but they can still get in at the end, so perhaps the jacket is more for avoiding the coils snagging on the edges of whatever the grabber is being inserted into.One unusual and interesting characteristic is a sort of "snap action" of the claws when they fully open. This "snap" (usually) can be felt at the handle end, so it confirms whether the plunger has been pushed in far enough to fully open the claws - which is helpful when the claw end is out of sight. This avoids grab failures due to unopened claws. However, the "snap" is not as noticeable when the claws close.While the long length is useful for "deep grabs", it also makes the tool a bit unmanageable when doing shallower grabs... and, like most such tools, the only way to guide the claw end is via pushing and/or turning the cable - so dealing with excess length makes control rather difficult. (I guess it's best to have a cable length just a bit longer than the necessary reach - so it may be good to have several grabbers of different lengths).The only (minor) issues with mine is some molding "flash" at the parting line on the T-handle and around the rim of the plunger button (This has to be removed/smoothed to avoid possible skin cuts), and for some reason, the plunger section is a bit canted where it's crimped onto the cable. (This isn't a functional problem; it just looks weird. I suppose that it could help a bit for turning the whole assembly while guiding it into a tight space - so perhaps the cant is intentional).In any case, the tool works well, and appears to be good quality.

Worked perfectly. The plunger was a little hard to press. I’ve been buying the disposable drain cleaners and they worked well but it was getting expensive and I do not like using chemicals.it worked so well that I cleaned all of my drains the same day.

Ingeniously inexpensive tool that brought up broken tile pieces and loose screws that were in my shower drain pipe. My shower now drains much faster. I tried to use it in a bathroom and a small bar sink, but the retracted “claw” end was too big to pass by sink stoppers … I would have to take them out. However, it’s very handy tool that saved a big plumbing bill for my shower…definitely worth it and so satisfying to fix it myself!

It did its job and unclogged my bath tub might need to play around with it but it'll definitely help the tip felt a little to big so it was harder to go further down but it helped but the end feels durable just needs to be thinner to work even better
