My husband and daughter did this puzzle over Christmas. You start with building out the puzzle which is a room in the house. You use the clues and the items in the room to get an escape code which you feed into the decoder. This tells you which box to open next. If the code is wrong, the decoder doesn't give you the correct symbol. It is an ingenious system.We split it into two nights. The puzzles were just the right amount of difficulty and we thoroughly enjoyed solving each room's puzzles. Perfect evening of family fun or can be done by an individual.

This system is such an excellent hybrid of game and puzzle! In the past I’ve done several of the Exit and Unlock games, which are pretty much all riddles, and I’ve done a few of the Ravensburger Escape puzzles that are primarily a puzzle with riddles you solve at the end. Well this system does a fantastic job of really combining the two! I enjoyed it immensely!My husband and I played this together and it really worked well with two people. We were each able to solve different parts without getting in each other’s way, and each of our skill sets complimented the other’s nicely. I’m better at puzzles. He’s better at riddles. So we worked this together quite nicely. And what was really key in making this a 5-star review, we were able to solve all of the riddles! It’s not that they were easy, you just could logically and reasonably work out the answer. I think this is so important! It drives me nuts when the riddles get too cryptic and you simply get stuck. I’ve found the Escape puzzles to be guilty of this. So at this point I really just do those for the puzzle aspect.(MINOR SPOILERS) I did want to give a bit more information on how the system works. There are six boxes you open up like an advent calendar, and combined they contain 5 mini puzzles that you will complete and then a following riddle that gives you the key to the next box. All total, the puzzles add up to 299 pieces. You are also given minimal information to get started and some decoder pieces. These seem a bit confusing at first, but you will get the hang of how they work after solving the first box. And I’d actually say the first box was the one we found the most challenging as that riddle was probably the trickiest, and we also were getting a hang of how the system worked. After making it to box 2, it was pretty smooth sailing from there.I highly highly recommend this system if you like games, puzzles, riddles, or a combination thereof! If they do more releases in the future that are similar to this, I’d buy them in a heartbeat! Happy gaming!

Fun game - took a bit longer than expected, but good product if you like these kinds of games. I thought the added puzzle component added to the fun.

I purchased this Puzzle for my husband for Christmas to go along with his Puzzle board-(also recommend) We had so much fun solving each room. What a cool way to put a Puzzle together. Highly recommend. We're purchasing more as I type this. HAPPY ESCAPING!

Quite complicated. We love escape rooms and puzzles so we bought this for a date night and were not able to complete it. Even using the "clues" (which were sometimes very confusing) did not help. We were left defeated and feeling dumb 😕But the concept is great so I would still recommend it.

Bought for my dad as a gift, as he enjoys doing puzzles. Still keeping him entertained a week later. The only issue is the print is small for him to read, but otherwise he’s enjoying it.

We LOVE these Escape Room Puzzle Adventures!!! We have completed all 3 of the ones available and eagerly await a 4th, 5th 6th, etc. You complete small jigsaw puzzles which become the scene of the crime and through an engaging story you must solve puzzles to obtain clues to secret codes which lead you to the next room, more jigsaw puzzles, more parts of the story, more clue and codes, and so on.There is a sci-fi theme to this 3rd installment game, but honestly the themes don’t matter. All the stories have been clever and compelling. If you like jigsaw puzzles and love solving other types of puzzles you MUST try these games. They are intended to be played once, but if you are careful with the contents you easily can pass them along to another person to enjoy.My only complaint would be that some of the puzzles are very dark, which makes it a bit hard to find clues. We always use our phone to take photos of the jigsaw puzzles which then make things easier to see.Identity games has a definite winner in this style of game. I don’t think anyone else has anything like it. Highly recommend!

I love jigsaw and my partner loves logic puzzles in general making this the perfect combo. I wish they had more of these!
