Amazon Basics Heavy Duty Packaging Tape with Dispenser for Shipping, Moving and Storing, 4.33 x 2.64 x 2.36, 6-pack, Translucent

I'm really not sure what all of the bad reviews are complaining about. The tape is thick and strong, extra sticky, and each roll is nice and long. The dispenser is really easy to work, the blade is sharp, and the tape feeds through easily (in fact, there is nothing to feed the tape through, it all works very simply and effectively).You can push the blade forward for easier cutting - perhaps this is what people are missing? But even when the blade is safely pushed back, it still cuts. Honestly, I do not see what people are complaining about.My only suggestion would be to ask Amazon to sell refill tapes for these dispensers. It seems a waste to be left with 6 hard plastic tape dispensers but not have the ability to purchase tape to refill them. This is more of an environmental concern than a price/package concern. If I need to buy another box of these tapes with dispensers, they aren't exactly expensive (£12 when I bought them). It would just be nice to save the planet a tiny bit by being able to refill the dispenser.Overall, excellent quality, easy to use, very sturdy, no issues so far. Highly recommend!!

As we were moving house I was fed to purchase some packing tape with a dispenser. It’s a little expensive but it’s well worth the price and we ended up ordering another 2 boxes. The boxes were all held good and sturdy with this tape. Easy to use and easy to cut once you have the knackThe only thing I would say is Amazon please consider selling the tape separately so customers don’t have to bin each empty dispenser

Bought this rather than the branded kind I have used before - cheaper experiment. First off you'll notice how thick it is. I mean wow. This is an issue as it leads to the odd sharp corner and doesn't conform to the contours of what you're sticking down as easily. And secondly it's not that sticky. Compared to named brands its not - it sticks well enough to rough card surfaces but needs a fierce rub at times and even want lift away from plastic mailing bags. It's easy to use but too thick to use easily for anything other than square cardboard boxes and not really sticky enough without care and attention. Wouldn't buy again.

Tape is good, strong, sticky.I couldn't get the dispenser to work at all so in the end chucked the dispensers and used the tape. A bit of a waste but what can you do?

Easy to use

Ineffective design (and that's saying something for a tape dispenser!) and although thick, not really that great a feature if it's not sticky! My moving boxes kept opening up, not just at the bottom but top too. Never thought I'd write a review for tape, but do yourself a favour and skip this, specially if you're moving and don't have time to go to the stores and actually buy something normal that works.

I would have preferred it without the dispensers (but it is not easy to tear so understand why they are included).This tape goes on easy, stays in place and the main reason I would buy it again is that:I just preped some boxes for laying on the allotment and after 1 year this tape was still stuck, but most importantly it also came off easy and in one piece.The other tapes took forever and were a real pain because they kept splitting.This is good stuff.
