I use this especially in the summer to keep the AC in one room while allowing my animals to travel freely in the house. Both my dogs and cat easily open the door.

We have always had dogs and this is the BOMB if you have them, they can run in and out anytime they want and you still have a screen (or plastic) doorway to keep the bugs (or heat) out!

When you have a dog & cat who want to go in and out onto the porch and it's freezing cold outside, this is a great option for being able to leave the door open while maintaining the inside temperature. I can't believe how much this one little piece of plastic blocks heat/cold. When I got it, I made every person who came over stand inside and stick their hand through the opening to see how much colder it was outside than inside!

It's awesome!! Keeps out flies, cold and heat. Not to great on the wind. I have 3 mini pigs,1 dog and 1 cat who live indoors. It is used all the time. Just be careful, it ripsby wear u tape it or velcro..

My dogs are able to let themselves in and out of a sliding door (Autoslide door opener) to an enclosed patio (and then out a dog door to a fenced yard). With the colder weather, even though I have the door set to open only 12 inches for them, I was getting a blast of cold air when the door opened. I placed this on the outside of the sliding door (did trim 18 inches off the bottom of the half that the dogs walk through, so no flap gets caught in the closing door). When I open the door there is a marked temperature differential. Even with a 12x18 inch gap at the bottom the air between this and the door is warm. Still a little cold air when the dogs come in, but it is greatly reduced with most of the height of the door still protected.

Wanna know how long it took for a wind gust to rip a magnet out of that patio door thing? 6 months. I'm guessing it wasn't made for New Mexico spring wind storms.🤪😂All joking aside, it did do a good job insulting the patio door all winter, and it was easy to install. I'm going to leave it up; it still mostly closes. Just can't keep the wind all the way out anymore. Definitely saved me more in heating costs than it cost me.

I never write reviews but after spending about $80 trying to make my own AC partition I found out that these exist and snagged one with overnight delivery, it is exactly what I was hoping it would be. I had a question when ordering so I will answer it here, my opening was 37 inches by 78 inches no door no frame. I ordered 38 inch wide version and it worked perfectly. It would fit the stick area up to 39 inches wide. I didn’t follow the directions as it seems like sticking the tape on the plastic could be a recipe for trouble when it sticks to itself. I held the plastic door up where I thought it should be to get the proper height, made two marks and put the top Velcro tape on the wall itself. Then I ran the Velcro tape down the sides to the floor. I hung the plastic door on Velcro tape at the top first guessing at the height. When stretch taut it was still incorrect but it was close so I could see what I needed to do. I then worked in reverse and fixed the bottom to the appropriate heights and worked up the Velcro sides readjusting and then realigned the top and it worked perfectly. Even though it was the first time it still went up in about 10 minutes. Moral of the story is you want a size at least an inch bigger than your opening when selecting your size option. The directions made an interesting point, if you need a wider size than 38, just order the big one and there is apparently someway to fold it to the appropriate width. By the way, The magnetic closure when properly not dragging on the floor seals up amazingly well. You couldn’t make this for this price if you tried.
