It works
As a "returning biker", 30 years away from motorcycles, I wanted something relatively low-cost, flexible, and transferable. And I did NOT want to fit a rack. Frankly, I do not want to mess around with fitting kits, racks, top boxes, and the loss of investment if my bike is sold. I don't give a damn about "looks" - I just want the product to "work". This does work; - very well. If anyone is interested I might do a quick "fitting tutorial" and photos. The build quality appears to be excellent.; a motorcylist's "Ortlieb", perhaps. I can see how this might work for horses, too (not joking). If fitted, correctly, these panniers are going nowhere - except where you want them to go. You DON'T, necessarly, need a rack. I don't need one. And I still have access to pillion pegs, grab-rail, and slidy-up-the seat movements if I want. No problem. But a couple of caveats:Perhaps don't buy these if you have high-level exhausts - the bags are big (25 litres each side). They will melt, on your exhausts, if you do not tie them up.Perhaps don't buy these if you have a "bum-in-the-air" pillion seat. One needs a widish, touring-style, or old-fashioned, seat to make the best of these "thow-overs" me thinks. But I might be wrong.A reviewer sugested that some of the straps could be fed, under a motorcycle seat, to secure the whole unit; well, I couldn't do the same (yet). With some work - yes, indeed. But, because this kit is aleady pretty secure, I cannot see any thief risking it. It would take them a lot of time to remove the panniers. Just bung a decent lock over all of it; you'll have lots of room for that lock!Overall, I give the product 4/5 stars. Why not 5 stars? Well, no instuctions at all. I kind of undertand that - since the kit is very flexibe (and might fit a horse); but "starters for ten" would be useful. Finally, it's looks are questionable; it probably won't win admiring looks (who cares?). But, at this price point, together with it's superb build-quality, I suggest you try it. Ooohh- I never give 5 stars anyway.

Great pannier's , waterproof and good value .
When it says waterproof, that's exactly what they are. Used these from the 11th Dec to 17th Dec, Heavy rain during the trip and on the 16th 2hrs sat in torrential rain at Cherboug ferry terminal. No leaks, everything nice and dry . More than can be said for me! The cross straps could probably benefit from having similar fixings to the bag cover straps and end straps , but that's more a suggestion than a negative.

Very nice indeed!
They’re a bit heavier (very sturdy) than I anticipated but the fact they come apart and can be ROK strapped to a Lastenkraxe just makes them perfect for motorbike camping. 2 x 25L plus whatever else you can strap on is ideal. I managed to get a hot tent and (collapsible) stove in mine, along with everything else.

Good waterproof bags
These bags were used in torrential rain and kept everything dry. I would be careful that they don't sit on any part of your bike with paintwork. The dirt of the road git between the bag and bike which started rubbing if the paintwork like sandpaper.

Worth of every penny
Good quality, product just as described. For mounting the front side straps were too short for Honda XRV 750 Africa Twin. Still would be ordering this again.
