DK Marvel Encyclopedia: The Definitive Guide to the Characters of the Marvel Universe

I love this book!!! Any marvel fan needs this guide which details powers, origins and more for all the main characters. They all seem to be here and if you want to know how spiderman got his powers, or how much he can really lift, then this is a great place to start! This version is the 2016 revision and also includes info on some teams and major marvel events such as infinity. Its a great coffee table book and is fun to read, or just to dip into if you suddenly need to know the Kingpin's full name or which comic had doctor octopus's first appearance! The whole book is alphabetical in order which makes facts easy to find.

Bought this as a very last minute gift for my fiance. He loves all things Marvel and DC and when this turned up at 8pm express on the day he was very happy. Worth paying £20 for it as most stores charge 30. I payed £10 on express delivery which I wouldn't recommend unless your desperate. Book is full of info, lots of pictures and is really interesting.

This book is due to be updated around April of this year (2019) but it's still a volume worth considering – it's not like anything will be removed from the legacy.A weighty hardback, this is packed with information and illustrations covering all the characters from the Marvel universe providing back stories, key points about attributes, special abilities and costumes and relationships with other character groups.It's the kind of book you can get lost in for an hour or so, especially if you have read (or viewed) some of the major stories or film plots.A great book to have as a reference if you're a fan or just interested in graphics or comic-books in general.The “Look inside” option at the top of the page gives a good idea of the book's contents.

If you have a superhero or anti superhero fanatic in your household buy them this book, it will keep them quiet! Nice big hardcover edition with loads on the marvel characters, great illustrations!

Book arrived quickly, just in time for Christmas. It's a hefty thing, hardcover as well, so it's really impressive when you first open it. Does not, however, come with a slipcase. Pages are printed in brilliant colour, although I haven't had a chance to read it cover to cover. I only ever watched the cartoons and read the occasional comics as a child, so this is going to be a treasure trove of information! Like the fact that they cover a range of characters, from the lesser known to the famous ones, and that for the bigger characters they include information on which issues to get to follow up on key storylines.
