Fits iOptron CEM40 (old pre-2022), 12lbs is great!
Works fantastic.Special note:This fits the bore of the Ioptron CEM 40 old version (pre 2022). 12lbs is a good spot for most small and midrange telescopes.. its great to just need one weight.

Workhorse Counterweight.
Super weight to balance an ES 152AR on a Skywatcher EQ/AZ mount. Yes, big load for the mount, but this counterweight, plus to two OEM weights that came with the mount, allows for perfect balance. However, each change of lens or eyepiece will require tweaking of the counterweights. Only 1-1/8" of counterweight shaft left, unless the shaft extension is installed; that would mean only operating in AZ mode.Very nice fit & finish

Just What I Needed
I bought this counterweight, because I needed a second one after adding additional equipment to my Edge C8. This is probably a different manufacturer than the one that came with my AVX mount, but the outside dimensions are the same. The inner contours are a bit sharper, but no matter. The original weight weighs 12.3 pounds; this one weighs 11.8. It fits the shaft on the AVX perfectly. As someone else said, it's black, it's heavy, it works.

Pricing is high.
This counterweight can be purchased from other outlets at a fraction of the price it's listed for here. Highpoint Scientific sells this model for under $40.

Excellent counter weight, fits 18mm & 20mm shafts.
Perfect, way better than the Orion stuff, fits both. Fits 18mm and 20mm shafts. Same price as an Orion weight, but this looks better, has a flat side to sit stable when moving things around, The handle on the screw is long for much easier turning. Great counter weight.
