These are individually wrapped and new BUT the needle hurts. I order syringes often cause I'm on insulin. These hurt so bad. I don't know if I received a bad batch but they are awful so far!! I am NOT pleased. I will be going back to my other brand of insulin syringes.

Initially this brand wasn't so bad. The individual wrappers were a nuisance due to additional trash, but not too big a deal. Now, there's always a problematic vacuum that causes the plunger not to stay were it is left, they are either dull or barbed out of the package, or dull instantly during first use. The guage is a good size. I prefer it due to it's comfortable size is still big enough to prevent clogging. Although clogging is now becoming an issue as well. They used to ship quickly and without issue until about six months ago. Now I can't figure out how they even sell any of these because no location seems to be approved for them to ship to. These are actually a more expensive "cheap" option. They are closer in price to bd ultra fine than a store brand. I wouldn't tell anyone not to choose these. I definitely go for syringes in bags of 10 if I have my rathers, but usually go with this brand because they ship out the most quickly. Anyway, u-40s used for making sure your pupper stays healthy and vaccinated are still available to ship. Just don't confuse them for these u-100s. The difference is that there isn't one outside of the numbers on the barrel, so if you decide to start vaccinating your pets on your own, don't forget a dog 40 is a people 100. U-40s have a clear red cap instead of an opaque orange cap. Happy hunting.
