Awesome, and barely bigger than original Edge
The barrel tapering is genius, it fits and feels like a glove, and it was $19 less than Jetpens. All the same ink and tips (even Pilot Slim Knock gel) that go into 0.28 and 0.38 original Jetstream Edges, fit in the Edge 3.Highly recommended, easily my favorite multi-pen for corrections and margins-within-margins.Pictured: 0.28 Jetstream Edge 3 [Red/White] next to original Jetstream Edge 0.38 [Prussian Blue]

A smooth and excellent writing instrument.
As a Construction inspector, I’ve used a couple of multifunction pens so I am not unacquainted with such a pen as the Uni Jet-stream Edge 3. I have watched video reviews on this pen and marvel at the unfounded criticisms I’ve heard. Only one concern I share with those unfounded criticisms and it is as follows: most barrels unscrew when you need to replace the ink; pens like some that are made by Cross don’t unscrew but rather have a pressure fit barrel… and that pressure fit can be very stiff which is good. The Edge 3 does not unscrew but has a very light pressure fit with just as light a snap closure. This is very light indeed! It works very well now but as I use this as a working pen daily, my concern is, in the course of time, will the very light pressure fit and snap closure wear until the barrel will no longer stay on? This I will see. It is my only concern. Other than that, the .28 ball point is some very smooth writing. I like all types and yes, there are types I like that fit my given mood, so you must take that into account with this review. Some people only like one kind of write and that is it! I will pray for you and the joy you miss. Some fine ballpoints you can expect to feel the road more than the 1.0 or Bics 1.6 (which is the smoothest write on the market). The Edge 3 barrel is a comfortable fit when writing and even the top turning cap that advances the various colored inks, is not cheap as some have criticized. I don’t get it! The pen is well engineered and light as well and is a complete joy to use. And this is from a man who has pen demons. I can tell you the good from the bad, the exciting from the dull, but pens can be a thing driven by the mood as well. i.e. some like to feel the road and feel the control while others like the very smooth ride… or… have shifting moods that like both.

Good Value, not High Quality
The color changing mechanism is solid and the pen is bult well. I even like the off-center writing orifice, but the pen is a bit thick and the 0.28 isn't very smooth. In fact, it skips a lot.You can write gently to encourage the ink to flow a little better, but no matter how hard you try, it's impossible to write more than a few sentences without skipping. Once it skips , fixing it is a difficult task. The thin point leaves an ever so small indent on the paper and it WILL NOT write there without a lot of coercing.I wanted to really like it, but I'm going to try something different.

Great EDC pen
This is the prefect EDC pen. The main compliant is just its price being really high.

Nice
Like the colors, how it feels in my hand and the nib size.

Ink does not flow from tip fluently when writing.
