This manual has good usable information for repairing the FJ 40 . I would recommend it!

Very detailed descriptions and with good ilustrations, shows you how to disassamble, assess and re assemble the main systems of your 1975 - 1980 Toyota Land Cruise (FJ, HJ or BJ Series), like clutch, transmission and transfer, propeller shaft, etc. In the rest of the review I will just reference FJ40, which is what I have.I have no plans to service or repair my FJ40 by myself, still I consider this book a must have: to be able to communicate with the mechanic, supervise that the maintanance/repair work is properly done, and to anticipate which parts are more prone to wear, and therefore will need to be replaced at one time or an other. The later is useful to source for parts, as they are not always immediately available. Also knowing how things work gives you a different appreciation for your FJ40, and will help you to early assess or prevent issues with the SUV.I am taking one star out because of the poor printing: a) in page 1-2 (maybe others, I have just read two sectios so far) an inch of print is missing on the right side of the paragraph, making it very difficult to read; 2) Some pictures are so dark it is impossible to see what it is. This happens in different parts of the book, as for example Figs. 3-10 and 3-11, in page 3-8; 3) Parts of the print are missing, like in page 3-9, where the description of the graphic and the number are intelligible.I cannot put pictires of the issues, as the book says publishing pictures is strictly prohibited.All in all, even now that I know about the poor printing quality of the book, I would buy it with no hesitations, as I consider it a must have if you are the lucky owner of a 1975 - 1980 Toyota Land Cruiser.

This is a great book full of all the information that one might need to fix an FJ.

If you need or want factory specs this is the manual for you. Excellent product and great price!!

A bit too tecnical for my level.

Like other reviewers buyers should be ware this looks to be a copied smaller reproduction of the original. While it has all the original pages and information, some pages are clearly copied and hard to read. So depending on what you are looking for it may it may not work.I bought this specifically for the wiring diagram. It has the wiring diagram in the very back on one 10” x 7” page. It is barely legible and in some instances misaligned or missing information. See attached photos.It loses 1 star for size 10x7 as the original was larger.It loses 1 star for being hard to read due to either bad printing or bad copying.It loses 1 star for me due to ineligible wiring diagram for which I purchased it.I will keep it as it is cheap and there is still useful information in it. The cover and paper looks well built and I otherwise like the feel of the paper, not cheap stuff that will tear in the garage.

Not as good as the shop manual from Toyota, its like a bad copy, print is small, some missing and smudged/warped text... Need a magnify glass to read the print! cheap knock off I wish I had got the genuine manual from the dealer

mi serviva ottenere un manuale riepilogativo anche se non è propriamente un manuale per officina meccanica però alcuni dati restano utili per la consultazione immediata
