So nice ! I enjoyed it

I have always been a great lover of pork and duck rillettes and as a retired restauranteur I do know what I am talking about. There is nothing special about this variety and I cannot recommend it but don’t let that put you off rillettes. They are absolutely classic French cuisine and I know of no British manufacturer, although during my last restaurant ownership I found a wholesale grocer who had them on his list and I used to buy them and they proved to be a successful item on the menu. As a rule, very few customers knew what they were but we had an adventurous crew so on my recommendation they would try them and they were always delighted with the flavours. The main reason it is not a British favourite is that rillettes are finely chopped fatty pork, slow roasted and finished off with pork lard from the roasting of the meat and not therefore appealing to anyone too health conscious. Don’t let this concern you too much as there are excellent versions available from French suppliers.

Its a really good rillet. They are a good maker of this kind of thing.

I was looking forward to receiving the rillettes. Unfortunately this product is dry and tasteless. A real let-down and not cheap either

Hello Sir/Madam,I have been a big fan of this particular brand of product for many years and have purchased this from many different vendors. I have received the product in question however, I see that the label of the actual product (attached above) is not as I as advertised nor am I used to the new format of packaging. As a result I am quite fearful of the quality that this product possesses when compared relative to the same brand that I have previously purchased in the past. As a result, I have tried the product in question and can tell you that the quality is nothing like the previous iterations of the brand that I have purchased prior to your vendor. Let me know your thoughts on this and thank you for your time.
