Excellent Tools
This book is fantastic. I suspect it would be an even bigger help for those still trying to get that first handle on their migraines, but even for people like me who've dealt with them for decades and have a good idea of their triggers, this book is excellent. I got in a really bad headache cycle, with migraines more often than not, and I needed to try something. There are plenty of lists of what is and isn't safe to eat on a migraine elimination diet, but there were either no recipes or the recipes looked bland and boring. This book has given me tools to better explain migraines and triggers to my loved ones who see me in pain but don't really understand. It's given me recipes to pull from both for an initial reset and for those days or weeks when I'm already on the edge of a migraine and need something I can eat safely. Everything's been tasty, and they're recipes that are easy to tweak once you've successfully eliminated a possible trigger - for instance, I intend to add lemon to a lot of these if I'm able to add it back in without triggering a migraine. I bought the kindle version first, and now I'm buying the hard copy because there's just something about having a tangible copy of a favorite recipe.

MUST BUY!!!
I've suffered from migraines for 25 years. Doctors have always wanted to throw pills at me that usually do not work. I finally got a doctor that recommended a neurologist. She has tried other "non-traditional" ways of prevention that helped, but I still was having issues. This book has been such a life saver. There are SO MANY other migraine triggers that I never knew about. Those triggers being things that I have eaten almost every day of my life! Many of those I have been able to find alternates by the recipes in this book. This book is half information & have recipes...and they are really good recipes. I would love to thank the author personally for putting this book out there for us.

I have suffered from terrible complex migraines since I was 13 years old
I have suffered from terrible complex migraines since I was 13 years old. Mine were typically brought on by a combination of hormones and the food I would eat. No chocolate or garlic for me! For the most part, I had to drastically cut back what I would eat and was pretty limited. Any number of things could be a new trigger. As an adult, I found that instead of chocolate and garlic, things high in sodium would now trigger them. This book is a great thing to have on hand not only to help me pick out meals that I can eat while in the middle of a week long migraine when I don't want to intensify it or make it last any longer. It's also great for when I'm not suffering from one of those vicious headaches because I don't have to worry about substituting ingredients or being unsure what foods may trigger another one. I've learned through the years that my migraines are caused by a combination of my diet and environmental factors. While I can't control the environment, I can control my diet and I can honestly say that this book has helped immensely! I haven't had a migraine in months because I keep track of what foods I should and shouldn't have and this book makes it so much easier to plan out meals for myself as well as my entire family.I did receive these at no cost in order to thoroughly test, inspect, and provide my honest opinion. Your thoughts and experience may vary from that of my own, of course.

Great information but difficult for chronic daily migraine
There is alot of information here. For that I would give it 5 stars. The organization that went into meal planning and grocery lists is very helpful. The reintroduction of foods is spot on, and in agreement with what I've read from many other sources on finding foods you are reactive to. If you have migraines now and then, this could help you find your food triggers. For someone who is energetic and feeling ready to take on a new project, I would recommend the book.I gave the book 3 stars because I have suffered with chronic daily migraine(defined as >15 per month) for 2 years, being treated by a neurologist specializing in migraine. I'm not very energetic, and often nauseated. For a person who needs to cook for herself, I would like something easier. I simply do not have the ability to cook 3 times a day. Assemble, yes. Make in bulk to freeze for another meal, sure. Leftovers are my friend because some days are better than others. At times I cook something nice and love to. For now, I need the least amount of stress possible, so would appreciate an eye toward providing options that would allow migraineurs the ability to continue the program when we aren't well.I am glad to have this in my library for when and if I feel well enough to follow the plan, but that's just not now.

Great book....a lot of great info
I really liked this book, not only does it go into what migraines are and how they are put into different types of migraines , but it also has great recipes. In the first of the book, it tells you how migraines work and what type of “triggers” there are. This book is packed full of great tips and ways to avoid them altogether. Then it goes into the “Whole-Body approach” as well as “plan of attack”. There are a lot of great sounding recipes. And if there happens to be a spice that could cause a trigger they will tell you that at the end of the recipe. I would recommend this book to everyone, because we all have been affected either by having a friend, living with someone who has them or have them our self. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Great to learn about triggers
This book gives you a lot of info on triggers with migraines which I loved but the recipes in it were not anything I can really do unfortunately because of my schedule but they look amazing. I've tried many things it mentioned to stop doing and eating in the triggers and it seemed like it might be working for a while but they started back up again so I need to look into everything again. I don't regret this book just because the whole first half taught me so much about migraines that I didn't know and I've suffered with them for almost 20 years now!
