Advanced Protective Products Rust Destroyer Corrosion Prevention Primer, 1/2-Pint

This is a great product. It always amazes me to apply it and see the rust literally converted to a stable base for application of paint. Almost like magic that it stops the rust dead.

It did not work. I used two coats and the nails still rusted after a few months. Expensive and did not work.

Can't make an accurate assessment of this item, though I used the same product on heavily rusted areas of a metal roof. Used Rustoleum enamel paint as a protective coating, then on top of that used elastometric roof coating. After a number of years passed some of the rust started to come through the roof coating but in a very small spot so in effect, the product doesn't completely destroy all the rust but it does seem to slow it down. Other areas did not show any rust spots breaking through so it could have been an isolated incident.

i was under the impression this was going to be white, its not. i've read great reviews on the product but the color is prohibitive for our purpose. :(

We used Rust Destroyer on all the metal flashing on our house before we repainted. We live two blocks from the ocean and anything metal rusts practically overnight. A good product that does what it says it does.

Terrible product. Terrible service. I used this product 2x. The fist time I used it as a primer and let it sit for 2 to 3 days. I painted over it with epoxy paint and it failed. I then tried to reach out to the company and had no success because of their inadequate customer support. After consulting a sales rep. I tryed it again. This time I let the primer sit for 5 to 6 days before painting over it. I painted over it and and let it dry for a week. The results where the same. This product either is incompatible with epoxy paint or its a scam. Their customer service is a joke. The man on the answer machine, who is never around leaves an unclear message and talk way to fast to understand anything. Do your homework on this product!!

Best product to use for rust prevention and stops rust on already rusted materials.Follow the instructions and it workS great.
