Very Glad We Purchased
This was one of the smartest purchases for our family. It arrived quickly. We have had this for a couple years now and the quality seems to be holding up well. It goes together quickly and is easy for my family to get in and out of the car. Side note - we have a crossover with a hatchback. So we can not say how it would do going in and out of a truck. We did purchase a handle extension that would raise the hight where you push it, because my husband is tall. I will say, I don’t use this constantly. I have some medical conditions that cause pain and issues with movement, standing and life in general. So we use this on my high pain days. Normal errand days that would involve a lot of walking or standing. Family functions, because we know I may start off feeling like I can tackle it, but then get worn down. When I get sick on top of my medical conditions and we need to go to doctors appointments. Sight seeing when the family comes to town. Which is what we originally purchased this wheelchair for. But now it’s something we are so thankful to have. When we have used it for extended periods of sitting, it does NOT seem to get uncomfortable. However , we do plan to add a seat cushion, just to give it more cushion. We would 100% recommend this wheelchair.

Working perfectly after 1.5 years with occasional usage.
I bought this chair when husband weighed 265. He weighs 345 now. When he plopped into chair he tore the very front corner. It was working perfectly for a transfer chair and for me when I had to stay off my feet 2 weeks. This seems to be a great chair. That said, I did buy originally knowing my husband would gain weight once he got home from 6 mo hospital stay where they controlled his diet. I did not expect him to gain as much as he did though. I intentionally bought with a 50 lb over weight guessing he would get to 300 and chair is rated 350. So, if you have no control lowering into the chair, I would definitely buy 100 lbs over the suggested weight. The chair tore only because my husband did not use it right plus neared the max weight of the chair and plopped causing a much greater force,.Yes I would recommend. I am currently looking for the same chair but bigger. :-(It was easy for me to fold and lift into car even one armed. I injured both wrists and hands in a fall and had surgery one hand at a time. I simply used my hip as my fulcrum and grabbed the locked large wheel and tilted my hip and pulled with one hand and arm. I would set it on the edge of the trunk where I have a rubberish plastic edge that protects the paint. I did have a windshield sunshade laying inside the trunk for the wheelchair to slide in and out by sliding. This was not that difficult even though I need a hip replacement and arthritis in my back and hand issues. I did see a youtube where the handicapped passenger had a rope in the front seat that extended to the trunk and the mature lady tied it on. She lifted while he pulled, another great alternative.

So far, so good
My husband was recently diagnosed with a severe medical condition that leaves him unable to do much physically. While he can still walk, he cannot walk more than about six feet at a time, so we needed a way to get him in and out of doctor's visits, stores, etc. We are hopeful we don't need a wheelchair long term, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on anything at this point. This wheelchair fits the bill perfectly. It's not as lightweight as I had hoped, but it's manageable. I can lift it into the back of our Tahoe unassisted, although weighing a few pounds less would make it much easier. I don't know how well this would fit in the cargo area of a smaller SUV. It takes up pretty much all the cargo space back there with the third row folded down, which is not a big issue for us, but just something to be aware of if your vehicle is smaller. My husband is 6'5" and the foot rests adjusted low enough for him, and the seat back is high enough that it's not uncomfortable for him to lean back on. It's comfortably wide enough for him as well, but I'm really glad I went with the 20" span or I think he would've been a bit cramped and he's not overweight or excessively large (besides height!). I did take the seat bottom apart and adjust the depth to its full extension first thing when we got it, which he needed to accommodate longer leg length. We don't ever really engage the lifting arms for exit, but it's a handy feature if the person is not as mobile or needs to keep their arm held out to the side or something, I guess. He said the seat itself is not terribly comfortable, but he doesn't normally sit in it long enough that it really bothers him. I would probably invest in one of the seat pillows for sale here if we were going to use it for long stretches of time. I know there is also a backpack/satchel for sale that we may buy, because it is hard to hold a purse and push the wheelchair without the bottom of my purse rubbing the back wheels. We have had zero issues with wheel wobbling or trouble rolling over asphalt. I haven't tried any off-road usage, but everywhere we've been in the two months we've had it, we've had no trouble. Carpets, pavement, linoleum, tile--all have been fine. Haven't noticed any squeaking or other structural deficiencies. All in all, we're pleased with our purchase and it meets our needs. I'd recommend for light to medium usage, but maybe if you need something everyday or for longer periods of time, purchase a heavier-duty model. I only gave it four stars because I thought it would be easier to fold and a bit lighter in weight, but that's not really a deterrent to purchase, just something to take note of if you are not a stronger or able-bodied person.
