Battery 1800mAh(2 Pack) and USB Fast Charger for GoPro Hero 8/7/6/5 Black (Fully Compatible with Original)

Purchased this battery and charger combo for my son for Christmas. The charger worked perfectly, charging all batteries to 100%, but when we put the batteries in the GoPro Hero5 Black they didn't work. No Power. The negative reviews on this product all say the exact same thing. Instead of giving up on a poor product, I contacted Customer Service and they promptly shipped another set of batteries and charger. Unfortunately it worked the same way. No Power. I did some research and discovered that a previous GoPro firmware update had made all third-party batteries obsolete. Further research and I discovered that if I upgraded my son's camera to Firmware version 2.70, the newest version, third-party batteries would work again. So, while yes I had to do some work on my own, I am extremely thankful for the help Customer Service from this seller gave me. Now, my son's all set with as much battery power as he'll need.

The batteries do not hold up well in cold weather, maybe 15-20 minutes of battery life and sometimes the files corrupt. Oh well, still work OK for warmer days and summer activities. I didn't purchase this for the batteries, I purchased it for the charger.The charger works fantastic with the name brand GoPro batteries. Can charge all 3 pretty quick and I have not seen any decline in life or performance of the batteries. for the price, this is unbeatable. I like that it has a built in cable, or you can plug a micro USB into the side.

Having a higher mAh doesn’t seem to guarantee a longer lasting battery. Despite this being 1800 mAh vs the standard 1160 mAh in the original GoPro battery, my original battery outlasts these. They still come in handy when I need to continue recording, but don’t expect them to significantly extend your recording time.Funny thing I noticed too is that these batteries will show that they’re drained out after a decently long period of recording time, let’s say about 30th minute of continuous recording. The GoPro will power off because it’s completely out of juice. However, when I remove the battery and plug it in the charger, they show that they still have some juice left, maybe 20% or so. I will also see this when I turn off the GoPro while it’s the battery is red, and if I wait for maybe 15 minutes or so and then turn it back on, it’ll show it has some more battery left for me to use.Not sure why the inconsistencies, but if you need 100% reliability, I recommend purchasing original GoPro batteries. If you just need spare emergency batteries to get you through your recording sessions, this will do the job.Btw, I think the charger does its job well. The indicator is useful to know how much longer till it’s fully charged. It’s easy to carry too and the built in cable is handy.

Once in awhile something exceeds your expectations. This charger and two extra batteries wt charging display are wonderful. Worth purchasing

The charger is really nice but useless if the batteries don't work. Received the product and put both batteries in the charger. Charger showed 99% for both batteries. Waited a little while till they got to 100% and tried the first one in my Hero 8. Powered on and all good! Tried the next one and Hero 8 wouldn't even power on. Put that battery back in the charger and it showed --% not even 1%. Left it on the charger for an hour, removed and put back in charger...still --%. Battery is dead. Sent everything back due to defective battery.(Update)What's crazy about this seller is that they send constant emails trying to pay people to remove your negative review. I've already received 4 emails from them, each one offering money to remove my review. This is a violation of the Amazon seller terms of service and has already been reported to Amazon. Every email has a different story but they are all pretty much the same. Used them in my GP8, the camera turns off mid recording. The charger shows %89 when I use the charger. Overall the batteries are not reliable. The charger seems to be working fine.
