Handy Replacement Cable
The black Shure 64 inch detachable cable will work for any mmcx compatible IEM other than Westone-mmcx types of connectors. I have the Fidue A83, which have a mmcx connection just like the Shure IEMs. I grabbed these cables because of the swivel features on these appealed to me. Some aftermarket cables advertise that they improve sound, and slap a giant price tag on these. Since I wanted to avoid that, I went to Shure and haven't looked back. These cables pretty strong, have a long length, and maintain a solid connection to the IEM. The cable cinch works well enough, but I don't think it is that secure. Also, while you may need to clean the connectors to prevent sound cutting out, it is very easy to manage with Shure cables. The original stock cable with A83 needs crazy amounts of maintenance and has its own issues, and the Shure cables are a very good replacement. The swivel features helps me get a deeper seal and more comfortable fit with my A83's as well.I recommend this cable if you have issues with your cables. These are not one of those cables advertised for sound, where you should go somewhere to look (that's if you can hear a difference).

Expensive, unsure of quality, otherwise functional.
I own a pair of Shure SE215 sound isolating earphones and after several months the included cable for them (should be this same cable) developed several issues. If I wiggled the cable near the part where it curves over the ear the audio would cut in and out even though there was no obvious external damage. Also, the color of the wire inside the cable changed color. I believe this was due to an external cut in another portion that caused the wire to become exposed and somehow the internal wire became corroded.I purchased this to replace that cable and so far it works fine but I am also much more careful about it and don't wear them as much to avoid damaging them which is inconvenient. It doesn't help that the cable seems more expensive then necessary but that may be due to the specialized connectors for the earbuds.

The cable for the SE-215's are thicker and better built than most
I used to go through headphones fairly frequently because the cables gave out in various places. Whether it was at the junction close to the connector, where the left and right headphones split, or near the headphone itself, once there was a small problem with the cable, I would have to buy replacement headphones. That was one of the big reason I bought the Shure SE-215-K Headphones -- because of the replaceable cable. The cable for the SE-215's are thicker and better built than most, but like the others, the original cable eventually failed. So I bought this cable to replace it. Replacing the original cable was as easy as pulling the connector pin of the old cable out of the ear bud and putting the new ones in. Instead of paying $100 for new headphones, I only had to pay $30 for a replacement cable. AWESOME!Some users complained about reduced sound quality or other issues due to the quality of the cable, but this is not true. The problems they were experiencing were likely due to an unclean or insecure connection between the cable and ear bud. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. This cable can only do so much. It cannot prevent user error from people unwilling to troubleshoot a problem.
