Handy for broken lace loops on hiking shoes
I have these amazing hiking shoes by Giesswein, but the loop laces started breaking in 5 different spots over time, making it increasingly hard to secure the shoe. I found these and they worked like a charm! I simply used a power drill, a small bit to drill into the shoe, and a vice grip to clamp the rivet together. It's a very solid and secure fit once I clamped each lace loops down tightly. It comes with 50 so plenty of replacements if needed. These shoes will last me much longer now.

Sturdy
Used them for my custom birthday shoes, very sturdy, they didn’t break or pop like cheaper ones. 10/10

Good solution for boot laces
I used these in the lace holes on a pair of heavy Sorel boots. It was impossible to pull the laces tight. These things solved the problem completely. The loops would be better if the pin was large enough to completely fill the lace hole. In this application it is secure but the pin has a little movement in the lace hole.

Use better quality rivets to keep them together
Warning the pop rivets are super cheap and do not hold up at all, I bought these mainly for the hook part, just use your own higher quality rivets to secure them and its fine.

MAYBE will work for baby shoes
The rivets are too small and will slip through existing lace holes in your boots. I needed to place small washers on the inside rivet to prevent them from slipping through. The metal is extremely soft and the rivets very fragile...several distorted and fell off while attempting to install. Any that were successfully installed have insufficient strength to hold up to the typical stress of lacing up an adult boot or shoe.

Cheap, not optimistic it'll hold
This is more eyelets than I will use in 10 lifetimes. That said, I bought these to replace a boot eyelet on $200 EDDIE BAUER boots that it's RIDICULOUS I had to replace an eyelet on after 10 wears ANYWAY. These are shiny silver, not matte. The ones on my boots are matte but it's not all that noticeable this replacement is different. This eyelet is three parts: the lace hook, the round front with the long stem, the round back with the short stem. You put the round long stem through the hole in the lace hook and put it DOWN through the empty boot eyelet hole. The round short stem snaps onto the tip of the round long stem on the inside of the boot. I then took a round wood rolling pin (the kind you roll dough with - see photo 1) and stuck inside the boot to support the bottom side of the eyelet while I tapped the top with a hammer. I bought one of those eyelet anvil gizmos but not sure it was even needed for this. The eyelet dented a bit but I wanted to secure it in there.I am not confident it's going to hold - I'll report back if it comes off and how soon it happened. Fingers crossed.I love these boots too much and am keeping them (hence the attempt at a home fix) but still p*ssed they broke so soon.
