Great little knife for such a cheap cheap price
Before these were not available on amazon and I assume it's patent issues. Now they are being mass produced for cheap - yes these knives are cheaply made and function well.-The gut hook has burs on the edge but i'm not complaining about that for - something that I purchased for 12 dollars.-The edge on the knife it self is a joke - it's just ground on a grinder to look sharp but isn't - so be prepared to do some honing.-Sheath is well made and I bet if the blade was sharp - it would cut up the sheath.-Handle is very grippy - I love the texture b/c I know it will prevent slipping from my grip.I highly recommend this to another who is willing to do some work to get a nice piece of knife and usage of this product. Off to the hog lease to do some hunting!

Nice!
I'm always skeptical of cheap knives because as a rule, you get what you pay for. I have to admit, for the low price of this knife, I am shocked at what I received. The knife has a good weight to it, and I love the handle, it has a great grip, kinda like the old-school bicycle grips: perfect for maintaining a hold on the knife whilst blood and gooey stuff gets on your hand that would otherwise incapacitate your grip. Factory edge leaves something to be desired, but that's easily remedied. As for the sheath, I have to say I like it! I've gotten some cheap nylon sheaths/pouches on many items and this one is better than all of them. It has a rigidity that feels like it could withstand much use. The snap that holds the knife in the sheath is weak tea, but again, for the price this is a killer deal.

Winner by me
The hook part was not as sharp as I would of liked but a dreml tool took care of that in about five minutes. Very strong knife. I also made a better TIP just to get a good start. I would recommend this even if you don't do my upgrades it is still a great knife for the price.

Lasted till I lost it
Has a good strong thick handle. Thick blade. Had it for years till I got stuck in the sand in the middle of no where and had to use it to help dig out. And I set it down, got unstuck, and couldn't find it. Absolutely recommended from me. I bet it's still useable if I can find it.

I never expect factory edges to be very good, but it was able to take a new ...
This knife gets a 3 start rating because of the sheath and gut hook. The gut hook (the reason I bought this knife) is small and is difficult to sharpen compared to others, and the sheath is just cheap nylon (oh well, for 10 bucks what do you expect). I never expect factory edges to be very good, but it was able to take a new edge fairly easily from my coarse stone and polished up rather nicely with my fine stone and strap. I've used it to clean upland game birds and cut my steaks, but I haven't had a chance to skin any large game with it yet to test the durability. (here's hoping my Dec archery hunt goes well). I will update when I skin something. I have very large hands and the handle fits well into them and I have never dropped it while using due to slip. Will post photos later.

Great Knife
This knife has been awesome for me this deer season. I have used it to gut and skin 4 deer's and have not had to sharpen it once even after using it to split the rib cage on all 4. In would recommend anyone purchase this knife you will not be disappointed.
