Peace of mind
I purchased these for a 3 month trip out of the country. Although I had people watching my house, I wanted to know if I had any water leaks. I put one in each bathroom, kitchen, by the furnace water run off pump, and the water heater. Fortunately nothing happened while I was away, but it was good to know I had them just in case. I had 2 instances where they were set off unintentionally, so I know they work. Once when my plumber was working in the bathroom and spilled some water on it. And once when I was mopping the kitchen floor and inadvertently sprayed some cleaning product on it.

Simplisafe Water Sensor
We were vacationing on Vancouver Island last fall, when I got a call on my cell phone that the water sensor under our hot water heater detected a problem. Having this information early, I was able to contact a friend who was able to shut off the water to the water heater, and saved us a major issue of water damage to our office on the adjoining wall. This is the second one I've bought, and is for our laundry room. If you have a Simplisafe security system, I highly recommend these!

It works!
We put one of these by our washing machine and in the basement by the water heater. We accidentally splashed water from a drain hose by the basement sensor and it set off the alarm. So it works!

Must have addition!
A must have for your ac, water heater, or anywhere you are worried about leaks! This could save you thousands in repairs if you have a leak in your attic. Easy to connect!

I ordered these to go by my washing machine and dishwasher. Works great, but move them if you mop your floors! The notifications are relentless!
