I've been using a few Brickell skin care products over the years and always been very pleased with the quality, results, and cost. Brickell's Daily Defense Face Moisturizer is no exception.I've been using Brickell's Moisturizing Face Lotion daily for a few years and love it. But during the summer months when the sun is strong I need sun protection, especially given my British Isles freckled skin. So I decided to give the Daily Defense lotion a try since it has SPF 20 which is good protection for my face.As with other Brickell products, the SPF lotion did not disappoint. Vital qualities for me include non-greasy after applying and sweating. easy application and coverage, lasting moisture, a good scent, and of course the SPF. The Daily Defense lotion easily meets my criteria and needs, save one quality......the good, light, masculine scent I have come to enjoy and appreciate in other Brickell products. In the Brickell products I use, there is the option of unscented or scented but I prefer the scent. Unfortunately the Daily Defense Lotion is not available scented which I would prefer.However, the face lotion meets all of the critical needs and more. The formula not only protects the skin, but moisturizes with essential face nutrients to help keep the skin young and helps prevent and minimize wrinkles and aging skin. I am nearing 60 so I appreciate these benefits of this lotion and all other Brickell skin care products I have been using for years. So far so good, all at a good value for the quality of the products. Highly recommended!

I’m a person of color and finding a good SPF moisturizer has always been a serious struggle. Most other products I’ve tried would leave a terrible white cast on my face. It was super noticeable and made me not even want to wear sunscreen some days.This Brickell moisturizer is completely different. It’s really lightweight and blends into my skin perfectly — like three quick swipes across my face and it’s gone, no chalky look, no shimmer, nothing. I was honestly surprised the first time I used it because I’m so used to being disappointed with SPF creams. My skin was moisturized, soft.Another big thing for me is the smell — a lot of sunscreens smell like you’re about to spend the day at the beach, or they just smell really bad. This one has almost no scent at all. If anything, there’s the tiniest fresh smell but it’s barely noticeable, which I love.It also wears really well during the day. I didn’t feel greasy after a few hours, and when I washed my face later that night, it came off easily without any weird residue. Most days I wore it from 8am until I got home at about 6:30pm.The bottle is a good size too, especially for the price. Overall, I’m really happy with it and will definitely be buying it again. If you have darker skin and hate the white cast problem like I do, this stuff is absolutely worth trying.

When my dermatologist told me my face also needs daily protection from the sun, and since I've been a Brickell guy for quite sometime, I tried their Daily Defense Facial Moisturizer. I apply this daytime moisturizer on regular days when I need to go outside without having to use a separate sunscreen.This moisturizer is lightweight and hydrating and also quick absorbing, without leaving any greasy residue. This does not leave a white cast and does not get melty when I sweat.I find this gentle on my face. I have sensitive skin so no allergic reactions or any adverse reactions.This is broad spectrum which means I get protection from UVA/UVB rays, that cause skin cancer and skin aging.The pricing is reasonable and don't mind that because I trust Brickell with the product line. Overall, I recommend this as a daily beater but would also suggest using SPF 30 and above when you plan to be under the sun for a very long time.
