Hanes Women’s Slub Knit Full-Zip Hoodie, Textured Cotton Zip-Up T-Shirt Hoodie for Women

I sized-up for extra coziness and functionality so this little gem is absolute perfection to me! I've been wearing it almost every day since I got it; it is perfect for so many situations: as a light jacket, house coat, warm up, etc. Aside from formal occassions, there arent many times where this zip-up doesnt come it clutch for a little extra warmth, cover, or modesty. I washed on cold and dried on low with no shrinkage at all!It has 2 well-sized pockets that will fit, at least, your cell phone. The hood has an fully functional, anchored drawstring that wont come out in the wash. The cuffs are not at all stretchy which make pulling up the sleeves a little tough and, depending on your wrist size, could feel a little tight to some.There are some minor QC issues (e.g., loose threads, less-than-perfect seams) but nothing that imapcts this hoodie's use/utility and, at this price point, Im not concerned about those things.This is a LIGHT WEIGHT (think: thick t-shirt weight) zip-up hoodie, it is NOT a sweatshirt. That's what I was looking for and that's what this is.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is my favorite hoodie now. It is the perfect color pink - not a purply pink or a bubble gum pink, more of an ever-so-slightly orange pink but more pink than orange and not too bright but not dull. Fits like a glove. So cute. I am 5'8" and I got Medium and it fits perfectly if you like fitted hoodies. Even the sleeves are long enough. I bought a few more colors because it fits so well and it is a nice fabric with cotton. Size:MediumComfort:Very comfortable and soft Value for money:Excellent.Fit:Perfect and soft too.Pilling:No pilling even after washing, wearing and sleeping in it. Smell:No smell at all.

Things i like.....its super light and thin. It does look cute on and is comfortable to wear. Things I don't like. It shrank ALOT on first wash. So i suggest hand wash in cold and lay flat to dry, so it maintains its size and shape. Treat is carefully as it will stretch easily when its wet and lose its shape. The pockets stretch with items in them and hang below the jacket. Items like just a vape pen or a cell phone. So if you want a thin, zipperred cardigan, with a hood....then this is it.

Very lightweight for cool summer evenings and cold restaurants. I ordered the hot pink and white and they fit the same . I’m normally a medium, but at the price, I ordered the large. Not too big! Assume washing may shrink a little.I didn’t want a real sweatshirt. Just a throw on jacket/sweTer for cold restaurants and cool summer evenings. I’m 5’3” and it almost covers my rear end so it will be OK with leggings. Cuffs are good. If it’s hemmed only, it may slide to your knuckles. I cuffed and it looks fine. Hanes is a name brand and the price was right.

I typically wear hoodies as shirts (over a cami), so I tend to size down for a more fitted look. Grateful for the reviewer who suggested sizing up one size due to shrinkage. I washed and dried on warm and it shrunk to my preferred fit. This is a thoughtfully designed garment: all cotton (I did not purchase grey), lightweight for summer (exactly what I wanted), pockets, and a fair price point. And tagless!! I purchased three for summer and may grab another. Thank you, Hanes!

I have been searching all the Earth for a hoodie made from light enough fabric to be useful in the summer. I was so delighted when I found this, that I ordered five of them.However when I washed the gray one, which is a different fabric blend containing nylon, it shrank. The sleeves are tight, and it's no longer true to size. You can see from the picture that the identical hoodie in Navy is quite a bit larger now. Both have been washed in cold water. Neither have ever been in the dryer.If you want the gray color, then I recommend ordering a size up.Warm weather update:Now that the season has turned humid and warm, I'm finding the fabric not nearly as cool as I thought it was. Even though it's light enough to see through, the 100% cotton is not cool. Furthermore, it's much stiffer than I'd like, and not as comfortable as I thought it would be.The perfect fabric for a summer hoodie is the one I have had for 10 years: a simple 60% cotton 40% polyester knit. It's stretchy, comfortably cool, and incredibly durable. The other hoodie Hanes makes is the fiber composition I want, but they make it into a terry cloth, so it's way too hot for summer.I'm disappointed and frustrated. And I have a whole closet full of uncomfortable hoodies.
