Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook, Flip Executive Size Spiral Notebook, Infinity Black, (6" x 8.8"")

I've been using this Rocketbook Flip for work as a science teacher for four years and it still works great! I use 05 Frixion Clicker pens and the 07 stick pens on it (the lighter fineliner markers don't scan as well as you might see in the last green line of the page pictured), and the app has gotten better over the years of differentiating colors as well as improving its OCR. I'm pretty good about scanning and erasing so I haven't had much ghosting that others report though I think some of the front pages of the book that I've repeatedly used a lot do seem to be a tiny bit scratched (doesn't seem to interfere with functionality though!).It's also more recently been great for studying Korean language for me. I think when I first started using this notebook in 2021, the OCR for Korean wasn't great. I recently took some grammar notes and scanned them in, and I was pleasantly surprised that the transcription and OCR got it nearly all right! Even more cool, even if I forget to toggle my keyboard to hangul and ending up typing English letter gibberish that corresponds to the Korean letter positions, it still finds the search phrases.I really like the compactness of the Executive size and how front and back of each page have either lines or dot grid respectively - gives me versatility when taking notes or drawing graphs and diagrams when I use this as a lab notebook for experiments.

I’ve been using the Rocketbook Flip for a few weeks now, and I’m seriously impressed. The reusable pages are smooth to write on with the Pilot FriXion pen, and it’s super satisfying to wipe them clean with just a bit of water and the included cloth.The flip-top design makes it feel like a modern legal pad, perfect for lefties too. I was on the fence and very much love this notebook. I’m often bringing a notebook to a clients home, taking measurements and putting them in their file. I also use a lot of paper at work whether to jot down notes, figure out dimensions or design something. This makes it very easy to upload and save a file to a folder so I don’t loose it. It also makes me visit the recycling bin a LOT less. Now, are the pens perfect? No. They’re decent when scanned in, just no where near as pretty as they are in person in the notebook. In the notebook if you erase quickly you’ll get a smudge but if you wait a second it’s fine. If you erase sometimes you need to wipe your finger over that area to remove any residue so the pen glides smoothly after but then again you’d do that with a pencil eraser anyway so the only difference is you can’t see this to realize that’s the issue that causes inconsistent writing. Now, the frixion pen that comes with it is awful, but the ones you buy are 10x better and I have no idea why. Now if you buy the fineliner markers they’re even better and I therefore find myself using those most of the time. The colors are not nearly as vibrant though so I stick to darker colors. So if you need bright colors and super pigmented colors or you need a flawless surface and scan, this isn’t for you. If you’re practical and can deal with some things that aren’t perfect for a nice trade off of the ability to scan and keep a document as well as save paper, then this is for you. Just remember too that the frixion pens are temperature sensitive so if you’re in a hot climate or extreme cold then I also wouldn’t recommend as it’ll disappear on you until it’s in a normal temperature again. I live in New England and I’ve had no problem.

At first, I was skeptical that I would get much use out of it since you have to scan the qr code in order to save it electronically, and I just didn't see myself wanting to take those extra steps. I do like that there is the option to do that, but what I actually find most useful is that it really is a re-useable notebook. No more ordering paper pads and causing waste. You can write a short quick note and then simply erase it with the back of the pen OR you can take several pages of notes and either just erase them with the cloth if you don't need them OR you can type up a summary from those notes and then erase them, OR you can use the qr code to make your notes electronic. My problem is that I have very poor handwriting, so I prefer to just type the parts of the notes that I want to save, rather than scan them in. Either way, it has many adaptable uses and it's good for the environment!

I love my rocketbook. It is sleek and easily carried. Has great functionality. I was able to set it up with ease, so I could download my notes into my OneDrive. I highly recommend.

Works as intended, just need to get use to use it. Because you can not use a regular pen, have to be use with a eraserable pen only.

These are my favorite notebooks! I'm upset they have existed so long without me knowing. The writing is so smooth. I can't stand the feeling of paper and these have a nice smooth feel, I love it! I bought the planner as well. It's amazing. Yes you have to let the ink dry but you have to let it dry on regular paper as well. It might take a second longer to dry but worth it. I haven't had any issues with that.

This book is AMAZING! Only downside is it said it came with a pen and I didn't receive the pen. Luckily I bought some on the side. Would be a 5star if I got everything is said (even the instructions said it was included.) Overall the product is amazing and works just as it says.
