You may need an extender
Product worked great AFTER I got an outlet extender.(I have vinyl siding and the deck outlet was encased with trim that recessed it to where this piece wouldn't operate correctly. Once I found the extender all was good.

Feels very sturdy, definitely a big difference from the common flimsy plastic covers! The option to add a lock is also nice.

TayMac MX4280S Low Profile socket cover, Gray
Much tougher than a plastic cover, deep enough for my 12 AWG extension cords because of the hinge design to prop it more open. Seems like it will surely survive the crazy New England weather. Extremely satisfied with this item.

Very roomy
This is great. I was able to fit a smart outlet adapter and an extension cord to run a timer off of a GFCI using the bottom socket, while keeping the rain guard on. Both sockets can be used with the guard down. Note that right angle plugs will not play nice with this box.

Works perfect. Solved my problem
I was having a problem with my sprinkler hitting my old outlet cover and tripping the breaker. This took care of the problem. Very easy to install.
