Helpful for little hands
My 3 year old loves these. So much easier than regular scissors because of the automatic re-opening. Helped improve his cutting skills immensely.

Large
Great product, but they are larger than I thought they would be. Hard for a two year old to hold.

Scissors for motor skill issues
These scissors were purchased at the suggestion of my autistic sons occupational therapist. They give him the opportunity to strengthen hand muscles while using an accommodated frequently used school tools the scissors were easy to grasp. The handles were not to large and made it easy for my son to squeeze. I do recommend supervising younger children as the blades are short but very sharp. They came in a variety of colors as well. I would recommend these for people with motor skill issues that would still like to be able to cut paper for crafting/leisure.

Great BUT sharper than I thought!
I purchased these for my adaptive, special-needs art classroom, they work really well, but they are a bit sharper than I had expected, so definitely need to have supervision on students while using these! Comfortable to hold and easy to use! Seem to be durable as well!

Good for people that have mobility problems
I got these for my boyfriend, who has suffered from a stroke and then later a mini stroke. Because of the strokes, he has lost the fine motor skills he once had. As an able bodied person, I have a hard time using these scissors, but they are So Much Easier for my boyfriend to use. He really struggles with regular scissors and he can definitely use these. To me, they are not sharp enough, but they work for him. He was wrapping Christmas gifts when he realized how hard it was to use regular scissors, so next Christmas he will have no excuses for badly wrapped gifts!

Good for kids
Within a day, my 5 year old autistic son learned how to cut paper. Definitely recommend. He hasn’t cut himself by accident or anything but I am always supervising.

Could be better
While it does do the job, this is for large hands/adult hands only. A lot of people were reviewing that it is great for their kid to learn how to use scissors properly, etc; but my hand will slide down close to the blade area after a few cuts because the loop portion is so large. If it had a silicone barrier/grip it would be super helpful. I could not use these for my job, as kids under 10 would not be able to safely use these due to the size of the loop handle.

Great Set, buy the 5" pair for toddlers!
These loop scissors are great, however I purchased for a special needs toddler. (3 years old) to start working on cutting, because she has deficits in both fine/gross motor strength. We used them at OT/PT, so I wanted to mirror them at home. These are 8 inches. I would say they are for older children/adults, not toddlers/preschool or kindergarten appropriate. My older kids used them just to try them out. Definitely go with the 5 inch if you are looking to buy. Big bonus, they cut very well for both left and right handed users! We have both in our home and both ways cut/turned with out issue or fail. Overall, these are great and i will be making the purchase for the 5 inch set.
